Good cuts and friendly 1/29/2009

I have very curly hair and I have worked with two stylists there that have worked so well on my hair and are so friendly. I've always had a hard time finding good stylists that are comfortable cutting my hair, so I'm very happy I found this place three years ago! more

nice place 10/24/2005

Its been a little while, but Ive always been impressed walking in here. Great customer courtesy with a professional flair, but not snobby in any way. Of course they carry wonderful products. I love OPI. The tanning seems to be reasonably priced, as do all of the other salon services as well. I was paying $30 for a cut in GR..... more

Extremely high priced and too busy 9/11/2005

Sun Island and Hair Care is a very busy place. If you want a hair cut in the next week or two, good luck. Although they take walk-ins, you have to wait a long time (at least 30 minutes) for this too. Plus, the last walk-in hair cuts I had were terrible. I think the newer employees take the walk-ins, and you never know what you will get! Their prices are outrageous ($16 the last I saw), and for the quality, overpriced! You are better off going somewhere else! more
