Last meal at Stanley's for me 2/9/2008

I ate there today, 02/10/08. I did order the burger medium-rare. It came out medium-well. That's also happened to me at Stanley's before. I've had many good meals there over the years, but now I've had my last one there. Too many times the meat or fish is overcooked, and then brought to the table luke-warm. Not good. The response of the waiter today? It's not my fault. The kitchen screwed it up. That made me feel so much better..... Pros: Salads are generally good Cons: Meat and fish is often overcooked and brought out luke warm more

I've had the Chinese chicken salad about a dozen times. Its fantastic. Nothing fancy, just delicious. My girlfriend recommends the grilled artichoke. Both are excellent. If you want pizza go to a pizza place. Also, if you don't want an overdone burger, ask for medium-rare, or rare. Pros: Chinese chicken salad, kobe Burger, Artichoke Cons: Parking. more

Since the parking lot always looks packed & there are people always outside I figured this was probably a good place to eat. Well the first time, I had the bbq chicken pizza...it was nothing special at all ! I think you can probably get a better pizza in the frozen section at the market ! I decided to give it one more shot...so on my 2nd visit I got the patty melt. The hamburger meat was SO over done, it was completely dried out. The cheese wasn't even melted. This place is horrible ! I will never eat here again. I can't figure out what the hype is all about. more

I have been to Stanley's probably about 100 times in the last year. When I discovered it, I wasn't expecting much. The inside isn't all that fancy, and I was anticipating an ""average"" meal. I was wrong!!! I was surprised at how great the food is. Their sourdough bread is amazing. And if you sit at the bar for happy hour, you get free veggies and spinach dip. Also try the chicken strips as an appetizer...they are great. If you are looking for a nice, reasonably-priced meal in a low-key setting, this is the place to be. Pros: great bread, cheap prices, delicous food more

This is a Great place to go to...when you want to be there, or when you cant think of anywhere else to eat! I have been eating here for over 10 years, and always good! Comfort food not too fancy, and not too pricey. the bar is nice, a bit cheesy at times, over 40 and think they are 20...but overall a great place. what to try, grilled chk pasta, chkn drmtes, mud pie...chkn ceaser!YUM Garlic attack! You just have to love the bar here, big, square and inviting. The atmosphere is comfortable, snobs will have to go elsewhere. The food is a nice blend of salads (Amy's Grapefruit is delicious), pizzas, and entrees. My favorite dessert is the chocolate chip cookie pie, smothered with a layer of hot fudge on top. This is the kind of place you can go to and enjoy a cocktail, a whole dinner, or even just dessert. It has a neighborhood feel. There is outdoor seating available - another plus. Don't miss the artichoke appetizer. Pros: comfortable bar, good food more
