Dr Rogers and Staff, Thank you so much for the care and concern you showed to us as we made the difficult decision to let our precious Aggie go to heaven a few weeks ago. I am sure that you deal with these situations on a daily basis and have become numb to the feelings of loss when an animal passes. Yet you know it was a very painful situation for us and you made it as peaceful and comfortable as it could have possibly been for both us and Aggie. You were so patient and kind and we want you to know how much we appreciate your helping us get through this experience. God Bless all of you with love, the Bass family. more

Took my sick dog to them 3 times in a week at the tune of $600.00 First they tell me my dog has parvo, which he does not. After all the blood work and medications my dog still won't eat.two days later return as my dog still won't eat, another injection and sent home said he will eat now as injection will make him hungry, dog still won't eat.Took him back today and was charged again an told to give him baked chicken, did as told and guess what won't touch it. Take your baby to a real vet who knows what they are doing before it's too late, these people are only good for vaccinations and that's it. more

Have been taking my 4 pets there since we moved to the area. My daughter took our dog in today with difficulty breathing. They made her wait in the car for 45 minutes. I told her to take him to a vet who could see him immediately. So if you only need preventative care (rabies shot, heart worm prevent - they will not give distemper or bordatella) your pets might be ok. If it's an emergency situation, take your pet some where else! They lost me confidence and business today. more

WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE- AWFUL!!! 1/30/2015

Beware of Dr. Rogers! Our dog started to get ill. He was breathing rapidly; constantly panting, stopped eating, started lying around & throwing up. We took him to Critter Fixers and the Vet didn't even check his lungs, all he did was blood work at a note of $210.00. No X-ray was taken, he never listened to him with a stethoscope and blood results showed that they were within the normal range but on the low side of normal. Checked for heart worms and it showed negative. He told us that our dog was depressed and that he was the healthiest "sick" dog he has ever seen. Then he just added a years’ worth of heartworm preventative (2 packages -at 6 months of dosages each package at the tune of $70 each package) without asking if we wanted to buy both packages. By the time we left the bill was $544.00 just to tell us our dog wasn't ill. Once home he was still acting funny, his breathing got worse every day and he started sleeping a lot. Even though we spent a lot of time with him on a normal more

Beware of Dr. Rogers! Our dog started to get ill. He was breathing rapidly; constantly panting, stopped eating, started lying around & throwing up. We took him to Critter Fixers and the Vet didn't even check his lungs, all he did was blood work at a note of $210.00. No X-ray was done, he never listened to him with a stethoscope and blood results showed that they were within the normal range but on the low side of normal. Checked for heart worms and it showed negative. He told us that our dog was depressed and that he was the healthiest ""sick"" dog he has ever seen. Then he just added a years? worth of heartworm preventative (2 packages -at 6 months of dosages each package at the tune of $70 each package) without asking if we wanted to buy both packages. By the time we left the bill was $544.00 just to tell us our dog wasn't ill. Once home he was still acting funny, his breathing got worse every day and he started sleeping a lot. Even though we spent a lot of time with him on a normal basis, we spent more time giving him extra affection and he kept withdrawing. I was getting more worried by the day. We took him to another vet and in they listened to his lungs & heart and said his breathing was extremely labored so she took an x-ray and found that his lungs and chest cavity were filled with fluid and she couldn't even see his heart in the x-ray as there was so much fluid surrounding his heart. The x-ray also showed a mass of abnormal cells. He was slowly drowning in his own fluid and suffering. She withdrew 4 large syringes of fluid from his lungs and chest only to find that there was also blood in his lungs and chest and the urine specimen showed high amounts of protein and blood in it as well. We called the vet to ask for our money back as he didn't perform his job properly and misdiagnosed his problem. He argued and lied to us saying that he did listen to his chest and offered an ultrasound and that we chose not to. I CAN'T BELIEVE HE LIED TO US LIKE THAT....WE WERE THERE AND HE NEVER LISTENED TO HIS CHEST OR OFFER AN ULTRASOUND OR WE WOULD HAVE DONE THAT! We were already $500.00 into bill so why wouldn't we go through the rest to cover all areas! That is why we brought him, to find out what is wrong! Dr. Rogers refused to return even a partial amount of the money. At first they said we could bring back the heartworm preventative and after we spoke to the vet, they wouldn't let us return the medicine. $140.00 for a years? worth of medicine and no pet to give it to. The reason for this review is that the 2nd vet we went to did her due diligence and we had to euthanize poor Camo. However if Dr. Rogers would have done his due diligence the result would have been the same only Camo wouldn't have suffered drowning in his own fluids for another week. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and any veterinary association I can! Beware of this vet. I am not the only disappointed customer and a heartbroken one at that. Make sure you read the reviews before taking your loved one to the Vet. more

TOTALLY going BACK 10/16/2012

We lost our regular vet when he moved out of state. We were recommended here and saw Dr Chris Pinney.\r \r LOVED HIM.\r \r The clinic itself is bare bones and not fancy but that's why they are so much cheaper than most. You can really see they are NOT about the money. I love it. It means pets are getting the care they need! \r \r Dr Chris was amazing and we really trust him with our dog. I am pretty sure we have found our new vet. He gave her a nice examination and seemed very knowledgable. I think he has written several books! \r \r We will be going back and I'm sorry but I don't agree with ANY of the negative reviwes. more

We recently lost our vet and can't find him- he has moved out of state. So I was looking for a new vet to see with our senior dog who has arthritis. We were recommended to Critter Fixer, Dr Bob. I didn't get to see Dr Bob, but I did see Dr Chris Pinney and WE LOVE HIM. We have found our new vet. more

Awful 9/25/2012

Whoever answers the phone here is a complete heartless cold witch.\r I found a cat that needed urgent medical care and this woman couldn't care less. It's on obvious the staff at Critter Fixer do not have a genuine love for the animals that need help. They treat you like another number. Horrible customer service!!!! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/31/2012

JUST AWFUL!!!! DO NOT bring your pets here. I have NEVER been treated so poorly EVER. The staff is RUDE, CONDESCENDING and HORRIBLE!!!! Customer service simply does NOT exist in this establishment. To top it off they are extremely dishonest about pricing over the phone (I am assuming to get clients into the facility). If your pets are part of your family this is the LAST place you want to be taking them. Disgusted!!!!!!! more

RIPOFF 12/29/2011

I took my cat here as he had blood in his urine they charged me $261 and was a COMPLETE incorrect diagnosis. We;ve gone here 2 or 3 times the male vet is a jerk he could care less, never friendly does not care about your animal. They told me my cat had kidney failure and said that there ""is not magic pill to cure this"" meaning he may die soon. They gave me the meds which were the wrong ones for kidney issues, they put him on a 60 day diet for kidney failure which is incorrect as well, kidney diets are for life not 60 days. My current vet within 2 minutes found they were completely WRONG. My cat has a UTI and hyperthyroid which can be treated. Critter Fixer found NONE of this the new vet says his diagnosis is easy to find he had all the symptoms, swollen neck, fever, 300 heart rate a decaying tooth and UTI that's the reason for blood in his urine which is why we went to critter fixer. They did not ask questions and don't care my cat lost 9 pounds in 3 months they said ""older cats just lose weight"" If you care for your pet don't go here I have filed a BBB and will continue to file complaints and make people aware. more

What a ripoff! Never again!! 11/19/2011

Called and asked if I could get rabies shots only at the clinic, that I didn't need exam, heartworm tests, other shots etc. Told ok fine, come to Sat. clinic and get Rabies vaccination for $7.00 each. I get there and there's an additional $18.00 ""Exam Fee"" per dog. Some exam... they pat the dogs head, give them a shot in the rear and away you go. Totally LIED about it only being $7.00 per shot. I was going out of town and had no choice but to pay. They did waive one exam fee, but the manager was rude and condescending. more

Terrible Vet 1/27/2011

They lure you in with low prices.... and eveything else is low quality. Horrible vets, terrible bedside manner, rude staff. This vet is clueless, had to take my dog to another vet to get an actual diagnosis of what was wrong with her and get her fixed. Will never go back.\r Dr. Rogers pretends he is an advocate for the pet, but he could care less about anything but his own ego. more

Decent place to take your pet 10/19/2010

I've seen Dr. Rogers a few times and as many people have stated his bedside manner isn't the best but he is a good vet. The vet I've seen the most in the four years I've been going to Critter Fixer is Dr. Pinney. I LOVE him! His bedside manner is amazing, he relates to you and is just an overall wonderful Dr. He loves my dog and treats her as if she were his own. Here lately I've been seeing the techs as opposed to the vets. My dog was recently treated for heartworms and I believe the tech that took care of me was Lisa, but don't quote me on that. She has long brown hair. Anyway, she was very sweet, took the time to explain everything and was very patient when I had questions. I saw someone say that had a bad experience with her, and if we're talking about the same person I had a completely different experience. She was fabulous. She also wrote everything down for me which was great because I'm very forgetful! It was also cheaper than VCA and on Saturdays they have low cost more

They want all dogs and cats fixed. 4/22/2010

Very bad experience- if you do not want your dog spayed or neutered do not take them here. Our dog was not being herself, had a little problem walking, and then bleeding from her vagina and not as active as normal, she is a year and a half old, had gone thur one full cycle and had mated. They did a sonagram and said she had pyometra and needed the surgery of she would die, scheduled her for a full spay that monday, the appt. was on Saturday.($400)for the surgery plus the ($200) office visit-including the medication for the surgery and antibiotics. We decided not to take her in and just see what happened, we gave her the antibiotics (I called and cancelled the surgery that monday morning- I got several phone calls wanting to know why we did not bring her in), After about three weeks she is back to normal- being her crazy active self and still has all of her organs. Instead of waiting to see if the antibiotics worked they wanted to fix her. We will never take any of our animals there aga more

ritter Fixer Pet Hospital has great vets and HORRIBLE 10/25/2009

I took my cat to critterfixer and was told she probably had feline lukemia so they ran $300 worth of tests and sent me home- finally they called and said nope no problem there- come back and we will check her again- took her back and she had almost endstage diabetes - another $200. fortunatley she is doing well now. Dr Rogers is a bit gruff but a good vet and Dr Penny is GREAT. HOWEVER the teenagers at the place havent got a clue.. Last time I was there checking my cats blood sugar level- just a few days ago- some real fat tech girl with a horrible attitude came up to me in the lobby and made me get on my hands and knees and drag my upset diabetic cat out of the pet taxi as she was asking me questions- I always previously went to a room and they weighed her and checked her temp. Please note I am 62 yrds old with bad knees but this stupid teenager made me get on the floor and drag her out of the cage. she ran to the back with her and came out and DEMANDED a deposit. I have never failed more

Critter Fixer Pet Hospital is AMAZING! 10/5/2009

This is a clinic run on the philosophy that your pets care is more important than the almighty dollar. A philosophy established by Dr. Rogers. I agree, he may not have the most outstanding bedside manner but he does have your animals best interest at heart. All of my dogs (currently 3) are rescues and he has helped me in numerous ways to make sure I was able to provide them with the care they needed. They do not perform unnecessary procedures like so many other vets to inflate costs and make more money. And when my newest foster recently swallowed a corn cob and needed surgery to remove it, I was faced with the horrifying prospect that I may have to put her down as I could not afford the surgery. They did everything they could to bring it into a range I could afford (including a bunch of x-rays and tests I was not charged for) and she is doing wonderfully today and gets her staples out this week. Keep in mind when you complain about the prices, this is a business, not a charity. Medica more
