Special Day At Deidre's

I bought a beautifully unique dress to wear at my daughter’s wedding from Deidre’s Special Day in Pittsfield along with two yards of additional fabric. Although I let them know I was visiting from out of town, this was my first stop and my intention was to shop around before making a purchase, they were attentive and managed to find a dress that I couldn’t walk away from. I did, however want a longer sleeve and asked if I could purchase the fabric. They followed through, contacted the manufacturer and took care of that order. The problems began when expected delivery dates to their store came and went. I have never worked with any business that provided such wonderful communication and follow-through. One of the owners called the manufacturer and delivery services while I waited, gave me his cell phone number and encouraged me to call as often as I wanted to. He was even better than his word tracking down what was not their fault and providing information to me several times a day. He persevered until he resolved the situation and insisted on personally delivering it to me at work, well over an hour away. At no time did I ask for or expect this level of service; they just did it. Deidre’s has also offered a full refund. I cannot recommend them enough. It is so rare to find this level of consideration, kindness and professionalism. My shoes and my sister’s dress for the wedding were also purchased at Deidre’s Special Day. Regardless of the distance, they will continue to be my first stop. more

STAY AWAY!!!!! after they mis size you they are happy to resize you at a price!!!!!!!!!! When they sized my wife they didn't even ask her to take off her sweatshirt. THEN when she said ""I'm normally a two"" the ass clown ordered a 10!!! and big friggen surprise it didn't fit!!! but they wanted $60 a pop for re-sizing. SCAM SCAM SCAM friends of ours has simular experiences!!!! I wish i talked to them b 4 the wedding!!!! SCAMERS!!! more

After 3 trips to Deidres for Alterations the dress was totally and unexcusably ruined. My daughter was in tears and I had to take it to another dress shop One Week before Prom to have the whole dress realtered after Deidres refused to fix it!!! The Bra top had to be adjusted and not to mention that the sides of the dress were completely uneven where the bra top met the skirt, One side had a 1 inch gap and the other side met the skirt in a v shape! I had to have the hem completely done over and the bustle redone. She returned the dress to me with runs in the fabric!!! where she had attached ties for the bustle and the Loops that were added for the bustle sewn through to the front of the face fabric!!! Horrible, how can this woman say she can do alterations? She butchered this beautiful dress and charged me not once, but twice!!!!! for additional alterations!!!! I am appauled, when I requested that the dress be fixed she told me she had no appointments available for the week before prom !!! Basicly my daughter would have to wear the dress with her bra hanging out and the hem dragging on the floor! I have pictures and will go to the attorney general for a full refund. My daughter is crushed and I am out $500.00!!!! She has to wear this dress to her prom and I am so upset for her, she is beautiful and will shine through this unfortunate experience, but if anyone is thinking of sending their child to Deidre's Please!!! Don't!! This is a right of passage for a teen girl, It is one of the only times in their lives that they will wear a gown and you want them to feel like a princess and have a positive experience this was a total nightmare!!
