Spaghetti Establishment

Let me start by saying I've been going to Spaghetti Establishment since 1991.I went back on June 22nd for the first time in about a year and what a disappointment.First of all...I couldnt have a beer because they dont serve any liquor anymore.Then I ordered the Chicken Fettucini and they bring a starter salad with no tomatos,crutons..nothing...just lettuce.I ordered it with no dressing but in the past they have at least tried to dress up their side salad a little...this was just lettuce.Then the main course arrived.The sauce was just awful and the chicken tasted as if it had been reheated...microwave style.There were no seasonings in the sauce..strictly RAGU.And then the service...a young hispanic girl with ZERO personality helps us...brings the meals calls out what it is and hands to us and leaves.She checks froma distance if we are doing ok twice and then we get the check.She is dressed beyond casual.I know its a family restaurant but I do expect the help to look like the help.So after I left $40 for this pathetic attempt at italian I dont think I'm coming back.I miss the old owners...ALOT! more

Okay, so the food may not be the best Italian available... but we loved it when we were kids and our kids love it today. Make memories! It's a fun place to go with great owners. Support the local restaurants! more

The spaghetti sauce here has a very bad taste. It is not sweet, not tangy. It does not even have the taste of tomato. It just has a foul taste. more

So I heard how fabulous the Spaghetti Establishment is. We MUST try them, they are SO good. So we thought ok, we'll give it a shot. I was thoroughly disappointed. Their prices were a bit high for what we got. I got ravioli and it was just OK to me. It really didnt have a lot of flavor to it. I have had much better Italian food. The restaurant was really nice though, a fun place to have dinner. But I just dont get what all the fuss is with this place. It is NOT the fabulous restaurant that everybody is making it out to be. But you know what opinions are like.....everybody has one. more

I wouldn't say that the spaghetti is my favorite dish but I love the fresh-baked sourdough bread. To start your meal they bring a loaf of bread and butter. There are plenty of Italian food choices on the menu. When you're done eating that, there's more. They bring you a scoop of ice-cream to finish your meal. What I adore about this place though, besides the fact that it's been here since I was little is that the walls inside are covered in old antiques and there's a little working train up on tracks that goes around 2 of the rooms. The place has antique charm, rustic. Old-fashioned and can be romantic in ambiance. Strange hours, just open during dinner hours and not on Mondays. more
