In response to your letters dated May 7th. The industry standard for sound levels in an auditorium should not exceed 85 decibels. If I were to turn the sound up to a fader level of 10 the sound would not exceed 85 decibels. On Saturday the 7th you complained that the sound was too loud and my manager changed the sound level from 5.7 (76 decibels) to 4.7 (72 decibels). He also entered the theatre and found the level to be quite below industry standards. At no time was there ever a second report of the sound being too loud until after you exited the show. This basically gave us no chance to make the situation comfortable for you. The movie you were seeing, Thor, has quite a bit of action sequences throughout. As one should expect there would be many scenes that would be louder than a non-action movie but as I stated the decibel levels remained between 72 and 76 decibels. Also, on Sunday many patrons, leaving the movie, were surveyed as to the sound level and there were no complaints. more

I loved this out of the way movie theater ever since it opened and I've been dragging all my friends to it for years which is why I'm so sad to say I'll never be back. Over the last several months, they've been showing the movies unbearably loud. I've complained about it several times, but it seems to be getting worse. Today was the last straw. The movie was louder than the trailers and even after I complained, I had to put in ear plugs which I have never done in a theater before. Yuck. Afterward, I spoke to an apathetic manager who didn't know what a decibel is or how many of them it takes to damage a person's hearing. There are a lot of other movie theaters where I've never had to say anything about the sound, so I guess I'll be going elsewhere to watch my summer action movies. more

Let me tell you about this gem of a theater that I go to. Showtime Cinema in Franklin offers so much. The ticket prices are cheaper than anywhere else I would see movies, the staff is always pleasant and attentive to your needs and the theaters are always clean. I live in Wauskesha, but today I will drive out of my way just to see a movie at Showtime. The reason behind it is that the movie ""Grindhouse,"" a wildly new double feature I saw last week has now been split into two separate movie. This was not the way I want to see the movie when I see if for the second time, but that is how you have to see it now if you try to go to any of the Marcus Theaters. To my delight it is still playing as one whole movie at Showtime and that is just one of the many reasons, as a movie fanatic, that I will keep going back there. I appreciate this very much, not that is was done just for me, but that it kept a great movie together and now fans won't have to pay twice to see both flicks. I love Showtime Cinema and I tell everyone. I go to a movie every single Friday and we always go to Showtime. Thanks for letting me talk up the greatest theater experience Wisconsin has going. Pros: Hot Dogs(I know that sound weird) Parking is great. Staff is friendly. Ticket prices are low. Cons: None that I can see. more

I am so glad that there never are long lines to deal with, and it is slightly cheaper than its nearest competitor, the Marcus Theatres. The concessions are always good and fast and it's not a project to go to this theatre. The seats are another story, they are AWESOME! They are taller and recline somewhat. The clientele of this theatre is nice and the game room is well-stocked and affordably priced. For a good time, take your family to this little-known gem of a theatre! Now all they have to do is build some restaurants in the area and they'll REALLY be talking! Happy movie watching! This cinema is the best! Comfortable seats,good snacks and food, and not so busy because it is fairly new. Pros: Good parking, good and fast service at snack counter, perfect temperature and sound in movie theater more

Our family used to go to the 13th and College Marcus theatre and its so yukky compared to this one in Franklin. WE never have to wait and always get right in even on the busy days or new premieres. They are very polite out there and go the extra mile if you need help. Its nice and easy to park as well, never have to be too far from the door and always easy access. We find the people out there seem much more courteous overall and its a great place to take your family. Pros: Easy Parking, No Waiting, Courteous Staff more
