Shotgun Dan's Pizza

I lived in Jacksonville Ark. for many years, I now live in Florida and there is no pizza I have ever had that can compare. Great value, great taste and laoded with toppings. I am thinking of driving back to Sherwood Ark. just to eat there again. At one time they were considering opening a location in NW Florida, I wish they would. Shotgun Dan’s features a thin-crusted, not too greasy pizza with a variety of toppings. It’s pretty tasty, although sometimes the pizza cooks are a little consistent. A couple of times we received pizzas that had very little sauce and too much cheese, During the work week, a personal 6-inch pizza can be had with salad bar for $4.25- one of the best bargains in town. The salad bar is slightly pedestrian (no where near the selection as Jason’s Deli), but the ingredients are always freshly cut and plentiful. They have several inexpensive domestic beers available on tap and it’s served in a frosted mug- always a nice touch. more

Shotgun Dan's Pizza is one of those places you love to rave about. That is because the pizza there is just one of a kind. I haven't found another pizzeria around Little Rock that is as hearty as Shotgun Dan's. The pizza crust is thin and flaky while the toppings just scream taste. The aroma of the restaurant is just filled with hearty meats and tasty vegetables. The restaurant's theme revolves around the wild west with old pictures of cowboys and a mounted rifle with a 20 foot barrel on it. It's very nice ambiance. The whole family will love it. If your kids are picky about pizza I'm sure they will love the cheese sticks before the meal. Load up on the salad bar for some great fresh veggies too. more

A great place for a kid - we had a blast on my daughter's recent birthday. The wait staff is really young - 20s tops - and has a lot of personality and willingness to play with the kids (in a professional way). They even brought my daughter and her two friends a pitcher of soda and three straws - they had joked about drinking right from the pitcher, and they didn't disappoint the kids for more than a few minutes. The food is OK - large pizzas, lots of cheese, little sauce or spice, just toppings. Kids will love it - loud jukebox, lots of video games, big tables with lots of room to spread out, and a staff that will even let them act rowdy if they don't disturb anyone. We brought a birthday cake in, and they provided plates and were great! It was a wonderful place for the event. more
