My 87 year old mother has been waiting 7.5 hours at the ER at South Shore Hospital. After an initial evaluation they said she would be immediately admitted to a room. Five hours later and no admittance. What has happened to this hospital? Pros: convenient Cons: rude inconsiderate staff; 8 hour wait ER! more

LAZY Staff, Poor Treatment 3/15/2008

Being a long time south shore resident I can tell you South Shore Hospital is HORRIBLE! My wife took our 2 year ago to the emergency room. He was very dehydrated and in serious condition. The staff left them sitting there for over 6 hours while they laughed, drank coffee and waited the clock for there shift to end.\r \r Six months ago my nephews mother in law went up there with a broken arm and waited over ten hours for anyone to even talk to her.
