Sheraton Sonoma Wine Country Petaluma

The rooms here are very nice and the employees are customer service oriented. For the price, this is the best hotel in Petaluma hands down. The restaurant has changed over a few times but I have never had a bad meal there. more

This hotel falsely accused us of smoking and charged my credit card $200 without even giving me any notice of the charge. Luckily I reviewed my credit card statement and caught it. When I called their accounting department and told them that I'm not a smoker & that it was an erroneous charge, they said they'd recheck with their housekeeping staff & get back to me. They got back to me & said it was a valid charge & refused to remove it. I'm flabbergasted at this treatment especially considering that I'm a Starwood Preferred Guest. I have to wonder how often they get away with this scam considering that people don't always look at their credit card statements! Pros: Wine Tasting set up in the Lobby Cons: They Falsely Charged me $200 for Smoking in my room...I'm not a smoker!!! more

My wife and I spent our "first night" here after our wedding. We got a suite that overlooked the marina, and the accomodations were wonderful. The view of the 101 freeway was our only criticism. I called the hotel in advance and had them fill the room with champagne and chocolate strawberries before we arrived, and my wife loved it. I would highly suggest you do the same for your first night after geting married, it was a wonderful experience. We had breakfast in the restaruant downstairs here, and the eggs benedict were unreal. I had a great time for the two nights I spend here. The location is good. Easy to get to mutiply Sonoma County towns. The beds were the best... almost better than mine at home. The price was a little high but everything is pricey in Sonoma. Pros: beds, location, room size more
