First off, I've been doing Elizabeth for a few years now. She has always been very happy with my color choices and we have always used the same product, same color. Highlights and Lowlights. This time around, she wanted more depth with the lowlights so I went 1 shade darker from a 7N to a 6N. I DID NOT have the color mixed before she got there because we talked about what color of lowlights to use. Her hair has always been frizzy and has always requested me to not blowdry her hair. She was 100% happy with the color when she left and texted me the next day to see if I could thin it out for her in the back. I did, in between clients on my busy booked day. She then texted me a week later telling me her hair is frizzy. I suggested she get a good Kpak Conditioner or come in for a free conditioning treatment. Never heard back from her. I take pride in my work and am a very confident color specialist! Yes, I did sell my salon and that has nothing to do with my expertise work. more

We have enjoyed having Michelle Mindolovich as our hair stylist since she opened her salon. She also cut hair for our six children at various times until they moved away from home. Michelle has always done an excellent job cutting or coloring our hair. She is very professional and enjoyable to be around. We feel comfortable leaving our hair issues in her hands! I love getting my hair done by Michelle Mindolovich at Shear Elegance! She always does a fabulous job on my color and knows exactly what to do with my hair. I go to Ashley and she is wonderful!! I started going to her a year ago after a long search to find a qualified stylist. She does my highlights and cut perfect every time! She's also very kind, and patient! Go see her! You won't regret it! more

I have not received the same as the other reviews. I went to Michelle and she did low and highlights on my hair. She did not go over hair color, had the color already mixed before I showed up. The 2 colors she picked makes my hair look peppered gray, which I don't have gray in my hair. My hair has been a frizzed out mess since, seems to be over processed. I spoke to her about it and she said it wasn't anything she did. Bad, bad customer service. Hasn't asked for me to come in and look at it. Told me I could come in and buy some conditioner from her, so I can come in and spend more money? \r \r She sold the salon and obviously doesn't care anymore about her service. I have another appointment at another salon today to see if they can repair my hair. Will not be returning here or recommending. Even people at work are getting a good chuckle off my rats nest I have been sporting. more

One Word...Michelle!!! I had a bad hair color experience and Michelle took her time and fixed it. She went over everything with me. I totally trust her and love looking in the mirror now at my hair. Michelle is the absolute best! I've been coming to her for about 7 years and I will never see anyone else in the Portland area! She always get my color and cuts perfect, and if you ever need her to change something she's always willing to. She works with you to find what will fit you best and has the best advice on what's going to make you look GREAT! I moved out of state a few years ago and now I'm back and came back to Michelle and she is STILL the only person I would trust with my hair! So... how many times do you get to say ""I'm having a great hair day""? If you go to Michelle and have her work her magic, you can say it everyday! After YEARS of looking for someone that would get my color right AND cut it exactly the way I wanted, I discovered Michelle. She takes the time to talk to you about what you are looking for and proceeds to do exactly that. She will also make suggestions on what would look good on you, and if you listen to her, you cannot go wrong. She is absolutely, by far, the best stylist and colorist I have ever had do my hair. After going to another local salon for 5 years my hair was looking pretty bad. I started going to Michelle about 6 months ago and have been very happy. She is so fun to talk to, and one of the nicest people I have ever met. Not only did she fix my hair, but her prices are very fair and I don't have to go as often. Ruthie has been doing my hair since I was in grade school (I'm 34 now). I have gone to others over the years when she and I had lost touch and NO ONE even comes close to comparison! Not only is it her expertise that makes her so wonderful, it's her ability to read her clients ""moods"". She knows when I'm tired and don't feel much like chatting and she knows when I'm energetic and wanna talk up a storm. I have recommended several friends & co-workers who still use her to this day. I have gone to Ruthie for five plus years and I cannot imagine anyone writing a poor review about her. She is an excellent beautician...I also followed her from one location to her new one. My haircut and color always looks wonderful and she is such a sweet, kind person as well as a good friend. I get many compliments on my hair...no matter how it is done...as I tend to change my hairstyle frequently which gives her a challenge.
