My family is new to the Morristown area and finding a new dentist is always a chore. I am always so nervous before the dentist, so finding someone that can be nice and helpful during a stressful time is a must. I had my first filling from Dr. Self on Thursday, to say that I'm afraid of the dentist would be an understatement. I told Dr. Self up front that I was nervous about getting the Novocain and he talked me through the entire thing. He was SO gentle I didn't feel anything when I received the injection. I was so amazed .I asked ""Is that it?"" He is also updating his office to be more modern which to me reflects that he's willing to change and try new things. They also have headphones for you to use while you're having work done. I haven't tried those yet but I might next time. I have 2 more appointments and although I'm never looking forward to the dentist I have less fear.
The wait is minimal and the time that Dr. Self spends on the patient is as short as possible. The staff super friendly and already know my name!
Pros: Caring and friendly staff. Dr is so gentle!
Cons: It's a dentist!
