See for yourself!! 6/22/2011

I have been bringing my beloved pooch here for several years first for grooming and more recently for boarding. I find these negative reviews extremely hard to believe, Cristina puts so much love and compassion into every one of her clients, I know this because I often watch my dog being groomed via the live cam (free service) on their website. Never once has she lost her patience even when my dog has been a handful. We boarded my dog for the first time this summer and I was afraid she wouldn't settle in and would lose weight but much to my surprise she settled right in and was even HESITANT to leave when I came to pick her up!! I recommend the Secret Garden to anyone that wants a quality, compassionate grooming and boarding business and I would never ever take my baby anywhere else! more

Best Pet Resort 9/22/2010

As far as I know, this is the only pet resort that allows you to monitor your dog through a web cam not only while boarding but also while being groomed. Just go to their web site to see for yourself. Cristina, owner and groomer, does not shy away from occasional difficult dogs. This sometimes entails having to take extra time to get the nails of a very difficult dog trimmed. It's a shame that some owners instead of being thankful and apologizing for their dog's behavior slash back at this establishment with hurtful comments. The place is clean, organized and can be toured at any time without notice. This is to me a guarantee that the owners have no ugly stuff going on. This pet resort offers very large kennels with outdoor runs. It is located on a beautiful 30-acre country setting. It's no surprise that some mosquitoes can access the kennels in the summer. There are however many products on the market that you can apply to your pooch to protect her. more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! 10/1/2008

I had toured the Secret Garden before dropping off my large dog for the first time there back in July. When I dropped him off I was horrified to see the ""delux room"" I had booked him was filled with flies. They began landing on my poor pooch right away. The owner who booked him in assured me the flies would die down and I should not worry. I should have trusted my gut and left right away with my dog. I called everyday to check on my dog and was told how great he was doing and how happy he was. They told me they had treated the ""insect problem."" \r \r When I picked him up I felt bumps all over his back and took him to the Vet the next day. The Vet had to shave his back and found that he was covered in approximately 50-60 infected open bites along his back (the only area that he could not scratch). As you can imagine, my husband and I were horrified. Our poor dog had to be on anti-biotics 3 times a day for 10 days and we had to clean his back 3 times a day. His hair just grew back now (3 months later). \r \r I wrote a letter to the owner of Secret Garden about the situation so that other dogs and families would not have to go through this. I also sent a picture so they could see just how bad it was. No response. I sent a second letter and requested they cover the vet bill (it was the least they could do) and still no response. Not even an apology. \r \r I would never recommend this place. The entire experience was terrible and handled very un-professionally. more

Stay away if you love your pet! 9/23/2008

My wife took our one year old Westie (Molly) to get her nails cut and after 20 minutes she was returned to her with red body fluid (certain words are not allowed on this site) around her mouth. Christina and Brendan (the owners) claimed that they didn't know why but stated that she was a ""terror"" and was impossible to control. They said she may have bit her tongue, but that was not true. She continued to (fill in the blank) after she got her home so I called for an explanation and they said they had to put her in a MUZZLE and that she may have knocked her head on the pole that was used to SECURE her. Molly was not the same for hours and she is still sensitive around her snout. Do not let your pet out of your site with these people for they are ruthless. Cons: Heartless and cruel more
