While this place has a great selection they do not have any return policy. I bought merchandise, had it delivered and it was in my home for 1 day. I did not feel comfortable sitting on my new furniture so I called to have them come get it. They said they would but they charge a 20% restocking fee. What? That is no where written down nor is it on my receipt nor was I informed of this. I contacted Raymour and Flanagan and they said we have a 30 day no questions asked returned policy as long as we get it back in the condition we delivered it. This Schewel is in business 140 years? How is that possible. I have now disputed the charge with BofA and Schewel wold not pick my furniture up so I paid my neighbor who has a truck and we took it back. The sales person there tried to say you cannot leave this here. I did anyway, took pictures with my nice camera phone that documents the date so now BofA knows I don't even have the merchandise anymore. They told me since I am not only a customer but a 25 year customer they will issue full credit. They also told me it would not matter what the return policy is of the store, they always side with their customer because when it comes to merchandise and service if you don't get what you paid for then you get your money back. I also rarely dispute anything so not like I am habitual disputer. I am heading to Raymour this weekend to do business with them. A normal business that has normal operating procedures.
