Mmmm Mmmm Mmmmm.......Let me tell you. The first time we were here we had a ball. The food was fabulous, the wait staff (Sean the Man) was friendly and fun. Our Chef was a ball. The price was very reasonable and you get tons of food. Be sure to do the plum wine !! The next time we went here we took 4 friends with us. Great service again and the food was again outstanding. (If you order a chicken type dinner let them put the special sauce on it for you !!!) All I heard for weeks after that was, ""when are we going again."" So the next time we went we took 6 friends. All of them want to go back too. If you can, ask for Sean for your server. He cracked us all up and made dinner a lot of fun. Dare him to toss an egg and catch it on his head. INSIDE TRADER JOE'S CENTER!!!!!!!!!!!! This place is like a diamond in the rough. I came across this place and the food was simply scrumptious. I went in not knowing what to expect... I was seated and served promptly. The waitress took care of us and explained everything!! We never dined in before but I felt like I was family. The chef was kind of loud but I guess that's expected... but the whole experience was the best I have had in years. If you are looking for great food and service this is your spot. I enjoyed it so much that I have made it a habit to go every week. It's a cozy spot, I get the same waitress and she remembers my name, what I drink, eat... and so on. Everyone treats you like family, once you are in there it's like second home. It's not like the other Japanese steakhouse I've dined in at before. The ambiance of the restaurant leaves a great deal to be desired, but the quality/quanity of the food is good and the price is right in line with the other japanese steak houses in Columbus. We've never had to wait more than a few minutes and that was just once, usually we are seated right away. We actually go there quite a bit. Shi Chi is by far the best Japanese Steakhouse in town, you're always seated promptly, no wait, no hassle. Everyone there is very friendly. I'm surprised that they are not as busy as the other ones in town, but its probably the location. It kinda hard to find if your not familiar with the area, but once you do you won't regret it. Price is similiar to all the other ones but you get a lot more food, so its well worth it. I go there all the time especially on dates because the chef's help me out, they make a burning heart with the fried rice. Shi Chi is a really cool and fun place for everyone.
