Salon l'Etoile Jenkintown

Have not been in a while and the salon has been remodeled, really beautiful. Tried someone new since the person retired I used to use , they did such a great job on my hair looks better than ever. I was also very pleased that they remebered my name . Love this place more

i got my hair colored here, and it looked amazing. i couldn't stop looking at the mirror. better yet, people say it looks natural. the only bad thing is that the blowdrying process was a bit expensive. $30 ! but on the other hand, the coloring was very inexpensive. only $48 :) more

I've been to this huge salon on numerous occasions and have seen different stylists, all being fairly competent. The shampoo room on the other hand is unprofessional and DISGUSTING. There is always chunks of hair on the seats the try to sit you in, the ladies DO NOT pay attention to the temperatures of the water; ice cold and if you complain they try to scald your head. Sometimes they even try to send you off done when you still have soap in your hair and ears. What should be a relaxing experience tends to be a stressful situation. When I have attempted to mention this to supervisors and the stylists, they usually just seemed shocked and say they will make a note of it but every time I go, it's always the same. I previously had a not so great experience but the owner quickly fixed the situation and listened to my concerns. Reena is a wonderful waxer. She takes her time and is very professional. I would recommend her. The only issue is that they seem to charge more than their advertised base price, which is fine but since they don't take credit cards it would be very awkward if you did not have enough cash to pay. Their advertised price actually seemed lower than other salons but they seem to charge the same $50-$60 which is fairly standard. They have a nice polish selection and while I didn't have a pedicure, they looked enjoyable. Pros: very good and complete wax Cons: no credit cards more

I had my hair cut by Adrienne recently and I have never been happier with it!!! I've had the same style for so long and I went in looking for something new, but stylish. As with most dimwit hairstylists, I've always had to spell out exactly what I wanted in order to get something decent. However, expecting the same thing out of Adrienne , I told her exactly what I was thinking. She then surprised me by telling me that my idea was good, but that she had a better one. She wasn't pushy, but was very enthusiastic and when I agreed to do her idea, she worked WONDERS! It is by far the best cut I have EVER had (and I have short hair, so I get cuts a lot).Adrienne knew exactly what would suit me best and I am so glad I followed her recommendation. I enjoyed my visit to Salon Letoile. I had a stylist named Christine for a foil and cut. I didn't know what I wanted but I knew what I didn't want. And that's all she needed to know! She explained EVERYTHING that she thought would be the best look for me and why she felt that way. I was really nervous because I really care about my hair and it easily gets damaged, and I knew she could tell but wasn't under any pressure, which made me fell beter. I didn't ask any other questions after that cause I knew she knew what she was doing! If you can't tell yet, I had the BEST hair style I have EVER had! Shes an amazing, beautiful, sweet, girl that I will recomend everybody to! I really liked too that the other people working in the salon said hello and made me feel at home also. My experience at Salon Letoile was absolutely excellent. I have never been to a Salon with such great customer service! The front desk was so nice and the put me with the best stylist named Kim, was so sweet. Kim was definitely the stylist that my hair needed. I had such a bad experience with color at another salon in town and they fried my hair. Kim gave me a conditioning treatmeant and fixed my color! When I left Letoile its like I had a whole new head of hair. My color was so beautiful and my hair felt like silk! Salon Letoile is the place I recommend to all my friends now, and I will absolutely continue to go there. Pros: Pros at what they do Cons: no credit cards more

I have had a variety of different hair styles in the past few years and Melissa has worked them all. I have had short hair and long hair but no matter what style Im sporting Melissa can cut it and cut it well. She cares about how I feel about my hair and gives me great input on what I can do with my hair. Best of all I can trust her opinion. I have always gotten great comments on any style Melissa has given me. The salon is also a great environment with lovely people. I could not recommend a better place in the Phila.area. I tried a new stylist last week and couldn't be more pleased. I have very difficult hair and no one has ever been able to figure out the best cut for me. I heard from a coworker that they were good. I guess my timing was right . Finally, some one that actually gets my hair problems. For the past week my hair has done exactly what it should and I love having good hair days everyday. I totally refer this Salon to anyone with trouble hair. It is nice to be able to trust someone with real experience and knowledge. A true professional. I recently visited Salon Letoile where I had a hair cut, low lights, and highlights. I have been visiting salons to have my hair done since I was 15 years old and I must say that I have never been treated with more courtesy and respect as I did the day I walked into that salon. My appointment was nearly on time and the reception staff was more than pleasent and ready to accomodate my every need. When I met with my stylist Mel , I was so impressed with his knowlege of hair fashion and appreciated so much the passion he had regarding his trade. I learned he has studied hair in Paris, Italy , and New York and I liked the fact that he was up to date with all the trends, products and then some. His staff was the same way. Very passionate and you could just tell that Mel , the salon owner instilled those passions in them. I was so nervous to get 4 inches taken off my hair and to try something different. I just had a baby and was feeling less than glamorous and I needed a change. Mel provided that for me. He listened to me and my needs and knew EXACTLY what I wanted. i was there the day that the cell phone incident had happend...you were extremely loud and no one wanted to know your business and with the things you were talking about one would think you wouldn't want anyone knowing that information either. and you failed to mention that your daughter slapped the client after she asked you (kindly) to move your conversation elsewhere and the manager and owner had ever right to remove you from their salon. how dare you put your hands on another person you should be ashamed of yourself and your daughter. great parenting skills mom. I been going to Salon L'Etoile since I met one of the stylist out one night and they offered to cut my hair. Well I have been going there ever since, if she can not cut my hair when I need it because she is so busy I go to three others that work there. they really, really are great at what they do. I called ahead of time to ask the price of a brazillian bikini wax and the receptionist said starting at 35 (after putting me on hold) in a rude tone so one would assume that an easy quick wax would be $35. The wax was fine and the waxer was personable but she then charged me 50 and said that I had barely any hair so she charged me LESS than usual. I mentioned that the receptionist said 35 and she said they are usually 75 or 80 and that a regular wax is 35. The website clearly says $35 for a brazillian. The receptionist was EXTREMELY rude. The waxer (Zola) asked her why she said 35 and she even snapped at Zola. The owner should be ashamed for hiring such a snippy and rude receptionist. It must be nice to charge whatever you feel like depending on the day. Pricing needs to be worked out with the staff so there is a consistent charge. Clearly they have problems with their customer service. I should have listened to these reviews.
