I have never went to a salon, took different angle pictures to show a haircut, and still been butchered and charged for my cut. Actually, told stylist is to quit cutting several times because they had cut the length on one side shorter than the other nor did it match the picture in any way. I am 5 months pregnant and walked out of the salon in tears. I wouldn't go here if my hair was on fire, and to make matters worse, when my husband called and tried to make things right, he was basically told ""oh well."" Very nice customer service, not!! more

Worst hair salon I've ever been too. First off because I was gonna drive 45 miles to get there, I called way in advance to make an appointment at noon to make sure they would be available. I get there a few minutes before noon just to wait 30 minutes before someone asked in a high pitch yelling Asian voice what I needed. What's the point on having an appointment if you gals can't manage a schedule?! The place was way understaffed for a Saturday afternoon. While my hair was being cut, the Asian lady turned a couple of other ladies away because there were only two people working at the time. Anyway, my biggest problem was when I told them I had a groupon that I wanted to use for semi-highlights, a haircut and hair conditioning - all in all a $89 value which I paid $40 for. Long story short, the lady refused to do any semi-highlights because I needed a color correction, which she wasn't gonna do because I was pregnant, then on the same account she refused to do the hair conditioning too. What's hair conditioning to do with the pregnancy?! I'll never know. So I ended up paying $89 for a cheesy haircut which didn't cost more than $15. I was fuming and over ventilating by the time I got out of there and swore to never ever again step foot in that salon again! Such crass lack of professionalism it's hard to imagine, but this is the picture you get when you step into a God forbidden salon that doesn't even have the correct company name out front! more

Purchased a groupon for $49 that included haircut, conditioning and full highlights. When I called to make an appointment I was told because I had long hair it would cost an additional $30! I was told if I didn't want to pay the additional fee that I should call groupon and get my money back, which I did! Rude, rude, rude! Poor business practice. more

Thrilled with the results. When I walked in I was rather unsure. I was worried they would not understand what I wanted done... Yet as the coloring and the cutting went on I was thrilled with the results. \r \r The owner is an expert at multitasking. And while for a while I was worried about this with full color, highlights, deep conditioning, and a cut I was out in about 2.5 hours (less than other places I've been). \r \r The outcome was GREAT!!!!! more

I had a horrible time here getting the so called ""deluxe"" mani pedi... Yeah right. There was one girl working on me and another lady at the same time, she left us sitting and waiting on her for 10-15mins at a time as she talked to other workers and texting. I couldnt believe it! Also when she started on the ""mani"" part I was still sitting in the pedicure chair, I didnt even make it to the manicure chair and table. she stood next to me and painted my nails (ONE LAYER OF NAIL POLISH NO BASE OR TOP COAT) and that was it. NO hand massage or anything. So my tip is to stay clear from here unless you want to pay for crappy service. more

Best Nail Technician by FAR! 11/12/2010

I wasn't looking for a new salon. Kevin actually took me because my other salon was booked full. This was the best experience with acrylic nails that I have ever had. Since that time I have been going to Kevin for about 2 1/2 years and his nails are the best. They never have problems, and I have to admit--I am hard on my nails. more

I don't get it. 7/29/2010

I was looking for a new nail shop to try out and chose to try U4EA because of the glowing reviews here. I'm sure I visited the wrong salon, cuz I don't see how anyone could rave about where I went. First, it's tucked back inside a strip mall way back from the street with a sign that simply says ""salon"". I arrived for my pedicure and full set and sat with Kim, who is nice but a bit pushy. As I surveyed the layer of dust and random objects laying around, Kim strapped on a pair of BLACK surgical gloves (weird). She did give me an excellent, very thorough pedicure. Next I went to Kevin's station for my full set (that is, after he went outside and smoked while I waited...p-ew). The set looks nice but he was VERY rough and hurried and he used a chemical that made my skin burn under the nail (never had THAT happen before). I noticed a few days later that there's a gap between my natural nail and the acrylic where particles/moisture can get in (the mortal sin of fake nails). He also charged me for French tips which I didn't receive (didn't realize this until after I left). I had planned to get Solar, but he told me it would cost $40 or $45! Not sure how they can justify that much for Solar. He also started doing round corners and when I told him I wanted square instead he said I ""should have told him that earlier""...bullshit, you should ASK the client before you start...this is basic, especially because girls my age almost always get square corners. I am not at all sure that they clean the metal instruments between clients. Won't be returning and can't recommend it. Pros: Superior, very thorough pedicure Cons: Attitude, seems dirty, all-around sketchy more

Surprisingly good cut, amazingly unproffessional 7/7/2010

When I walked in I was a little apprehensive from the start, the interior was very unclean and not at all sure how they are passing inspections. Kim did not ""wash"" my hair, but began spraying it down with water (!!!!), and asked, ""how do you want me to cut your hair""-- kiss of death for a stylist, ask anything, but do not ask me how to cut my hair, ask me what I am looking for what I like, anything but that... Filthy, filthy, almost zero product on station aside from something resembling dippity do on her station, the floor and everything in eyesight needed cleaned. Decor is worn/ stations appear mis matched, and all together hodgpodge. I sat not knowing if I should give in to my fear to get out of there, but hey, it's only hair right?.. Pros: Kim can cut hair for sure Cons: Dirty, hot, decor was terrible, no 'customer service' more

Solar nails/ Pedicure 6/30/2009

*I've decided to edit this review from my original review because upon returning for next visit, I was very disappointed!* Problem#1- They didn't schedule us for pedicures at the same time the way they said they would/could when we called. That was kinda the point to begin with. Problem#2- My solar nail fill was awful. I really hate to be so hard on Kevin, but it was like he went above and beyond for my initial appt (trying to prove how wonderful he was- which he was) BUT THEN on my next appt, he rushed through it and filed my nails way too thin and VERY round and narrow-->Completely wrong for my nail beds. I asked him to not make them round or too thin, he said ""your the boss"" and attempted to fix them...but I still ended up having to refile them later. *You should also know before you go that he uses solar gel used instead of the buffing cream. I understand what he dislikes about it (leaving little black dots in the nails) but dispite what HE claims about the gel retaining the 'shine'... not true. Shine doesn't last as long and it shows every scratch, flaw with in the first week. My nails are thin and were lifting & cracking that SAME DAY. Sorry Kevin, I had high hopes, but left very disappointed :( Pros: great the first time, horrible the second Cons: not consistant, doesn't listen to clients more

Salon High on Style 6/26/2009

Kim has cut and styled my hair for almost a year now and she has always made it seem like I was the best customer at the time. She makes you feel comfortable and will talk with you, not at you and will listen, and answer any questions you may have. She is great. Pros: good prices, family owned and managed, friendly environment Cons: None, that I can think of more

Great Experience 6/19/2009

I went to get a fill today, making it my second time at Salon U4EA. I had a very good experience. Kevin is very kind and very good at what he does. The only downside to the salon is that it needs some streamlined decor, and a new paint job. I look forward to returning again in 3 weeks!! Thanks Kevin, my nails are beautiful! Pros: Top Quality! Cons: Salon needs a makeover. more
