Salon Medusa

Salon medusa is a great Salon. I have gotten my hair cut/colored by a few of the stylists including Brittany,Bee & Natalie and they all did a wonderful job. I would recommend this salon to anyone. more

Amanda just did my hair recently. I've had my fair share of crazy haircuts over the years due to moving around constantly, but this was honestly one of the worst. I just moved here and had a great cut going, but just needed it cleaned up. My hair is now so random that I have to wear it pulled back everyday. The bangs are not even blended into the rest of the haircut. I also have a section of my hair where the layer she was cutting just stops. It is like she was cutting and got sidetracked and didn't finish the job. The top layer is about 4 inches long and in this section there is simply no layer. Please do not go here!! It is definitely a waste of your time and money. more

Salon Medusa is great! Not sure why anyone would write a bad review. I've been going to Laura, the owner for over 6 years now and she gives exceptional customer service and always stands behind her stylists! I love the atmosphere and the high level of customer service and would recommend this salon and any of the talented stylists to anyone!! This salon is the best in town! more

Salon co-owner, Laura does not stand behind the salon's services. Instead she tries to intimidate clients. Sad situation for the talented stylists. Won't return. Many wonderful salons with healthier atmospheres from which to choose. more

I have been getting my hair colored and highlighted on and or for years, and usually my stylists seem to 'miss the mark'. I have pale skin, and medium brown hair and finally, for once I have found a hair stylist that gave me the most amazing cut and color. NATALIE gave me the PERFECT color AND highlights that I had ever had. A beautiful caramel all-over color with paler blond highlights. It looks great with my skin tone and really brightens up my whole face. No yellow or orange like I've had at many other hair salons. Natalie also gave me a great cut, was very helpful and honest, and made me feel very comfortable.The price was affordable (I've paid extremely high and low, and this is very affordable especially for the amazing work and beautiful atmosphere). more

I have been relocated several times over the past 5 years, and its tough finding a good salon. Thank goodness a coworker recommended Salon Medusa!! Kristen is so nice and great with color. The pricing on cuts and color are very reasonable, especially being an Aveda Salon. My boyfriend even goes there now. I need to make time for a pedicure, because I think they would be great there too. Just try this place, you will love it too! more

Honestly it was nothing special..really expected more. Other reviews raved about decor & atmosphere..?really? I mean to be honest not all that different from my loft..but even I have exposed beams & brick. Again nothing special IMHO. Haircut..again not bad..but she essentially just trimmed..had I to pay the full $40 for it wouldn't have thought worth it @ all. The facial was good and even @ full price I would have thought worth it. All in all ok experience...but had it not been for the half off new clients..I wouldn't have found it worth it. Maybe I'm just accustomed to more being I use to go to Mario Tricoci and other spa's in Lake Geneva area (so I obv have no issue paying $$ if I receive top notch service) But my normal girl who does my hair does better job and she cost less.. i don't understand how anyone could possibly have written a bad review for this place! i have been going to natalie there for 3 years now, and it is only because i had looked forever for someone to be able to do exactly what i wanted with my hair. she did that, on my first visit. i have never gone anywhere else since. she always knows exactly what to do, to the point that i let her decide what to do with my hair because she's never steered me wrong. and it's not just her. I've gone to other stylists there when she was gone, and was just as satisfied. i've also had my nails done there, as well as massages. it is an all around fabulous place!! the customer service is exceptional, and the stylists and staff are top of the line, and know just what they are doing. i have recommended them to family and friends who also continue to go there! those of you who wrote bad reports probably don't have the good sense to realize a good thing when you see it! 5 star service all the way around!! I can not grasp that anyone would think the Salon Medusa is terrible or unprofessional. I stopped in 2 1/2 years ago, looking for a new stylist. I set up an appointment with Mali and have never left. She is GREAT, when I first went I told her what I wanted, now- I let her do whatever she wants and it ALWAYS looks GREAT!!! I love how they are up on new techniques of cutting, coloring, ect..... Natalie is wonderful too, my daughter goes to her and Natalie always gives her great advice and keeps the cut and style to my daughter's age. My daughter wanted her eyebrows waxed, Natalie encouraged to wait a little, which it great. I hate it when a salon is only worried about how much they can do to make money, not thinking about the age of the YOUNG customer. So to anyone looking for a relaxing, dedicated salon-go to Salon Medusa. Pros: Knowledgable Staff, well maintained more

I have my hair cut and styled at Salon Medusa in Brookfield and just love it. I've never been disappointed with the service. Natalie listens to me when I explain what I want done, and she does it. I have gone to Salon Medusa for over 15 years. I continue my 30 minute drive to this salon because I find their commitment to excellence and beauty outstanding.\r \r I am a person that finds doing my hair a challenge, and the staff has been good in working with my capabilities and resistant hair type to processing. We have had times it may not have taken as well as we liked, or I could not handle it as well, and the Salon was responsive by going to Plan B. And to be honest we rarely had to go to Plan B once my primary stylist knew me, my personality, and hair type.\r \r I am glad there is a salon I can call home in terms of my hair care needs. I would heartily recommend this salon to anyone! more

Couldn't agree LESS with the hysterical one who leaves childish posts like 'chopping off your finger'. I am not an employee so get over it. I have never had anyone that I referred to Salon Medusa come back and say something negative. The staff is talented and the salon is beautiful. Your overly dramatic assault on them is so off base! Anyone can tell you that you clearly have an ax to grind for some other reason. All you need to do is walk in and look around to know you are in the right place. I get messages pretty regularly so I've had many different types of messages. I have give my kudos to Lisa. It was just right, not too hard or soft. She really listened to what I needed. My shoulders feel great and my headache is gone. I feel invigorated! I'll definitely go again.\r \r I've also heard from a friend who used a gift certificate to get a pedicure that Jeanette was really thorough in getting rid of all her calluses. She said that her feet have never felt as soft.\r \r Can't say anything about the hair salon. Sorry to hear of the color nightmare. I thought the manager was a male? DO NOT GO TO salonmedusa. I was fooled by the Aveda name. The experience was a total nightmare. I'm completely dissatisfied. My hair is dark brown and I wanted a caramel brown color. When she brought a grey swatch, I told her it was too light and not in the shade that I want. I was told that it was going to be $40 for the total hair color root to tip, when I made the appointment. But she said it was going ot be $65 for just color and to leave wet. I didn't feel comfortable right then. I should have trusted my freaking intuition and left.\r \r The particular consultant ""Tieb"" is completely unprofessional, has insufficient knowledge of colors, mediocre communications skills that she can't understand what you want. She promised that she knows what she was doing. She started coloring just my roots. After coloring ten strands she said that it would cost more if I wanted to to color the whole hair. I felt like that was a cheap trick to start coloring and say I'd only do one half. Then came the manager, she assured everything was going to be alright and I'd get the color I want. I felt absolutely uncomfortable at that point and when she offered to shampoo it away, I was happy and insisted that they do it. But the manager reassured me that they knew what they were doing. I kick myself for trusting her then.\r \r After waiting for 45 minutes from then, I was SHOCKED to have my hair darker than my natural color. While it was not yellow or bright red it felt just as horrendous to me. I wanted them to make my hair just the way it was when I Walked in. I was getting ready for a special occasion. Now they have ruined my hair, upset me to tears and made my whole experience awful. They offered to fix it after 10 days when it wouldn't be of any use to me. \r \r If your intension is to get a free foot soak and night mare with your hair color, this is THE PLACE to go for a horrendous experience.
