Sally Beauty

I've been going to Sally's for over 15 years. I went to the one in Venice, CA for most of that time and always enjoyed my shopping experience! However, I recently moved to Appleton, WI and went to the Sally's there for the first time. I purchased multiple items, 3 hair colors, 2 brushes, a bowl, file cube, 10 developer, and 20 developer. Total purchase was over $30.00. When I got home, I put the bag on my kitchen counter. The next day, I opened the bag to use the products, and there were only 2 colors in the bag. I spoke with Mamie (the store manager, who sounded about 20 years old) and she was dismissing, rude and accusatory. She indicated that since their inventory is not 'over' on that color, then I must have received my product. I asked her what her inventory practices had to do with me being cheated out of a color. She said, if I hadn't received it then she should be over by one on her inventory. This was the most juvenile response I have ever heard. I thought the greatest annoyance of the blue-haired clerk was going to be that I had to drive across town to get the product, but instead, I wasn't going to receive my product at all. I have the receipt proving that I was charged for 3 colors. Basically the manager accused me of lying and told me to go ahead and call corporate. So I did just that. I spoke with a rep at corporate and she said that she's certain the district rep would get this taken care of. She took my phone number and said she would be calling me. The district representative NEVER called me. It is quite infantile to me that a company would treat it's customers like this over a $4.99 color. It would take me that much in gas to drive from N. Appleton to their location and back. And to accuse me of lying, is insulting. I will never go to a Sally's again, and I recommend to all of you, that you check your bag and watch out for the cashier who may be withholding products out for herself. They are aware that the clients will get blamed for the inventory loss, and they will not. more

I went into Sally Beauty Supply to get a highlighting cap for my hair because it was the only place I could find one. They had several different styles and all were reasonably priced. Also when I was in there I looked around and they had a good selection of different hair supplies. Everything from colorings to curling irons and hair straighteners. If you have a beauty license you can even get an extra discount. more

Sally Beuaty Supply looks small from the outside, and it is on the inside too. But they have everything you could think of for hair supplies. They have hair colorings, things for applying the coloring, hair dryers, curling irons, accessories, and much more. Even with all that in a small store, it is not too crowded. The people in the store are helpful at answering questions or giving ideas on what products to use. SOmetimes they don't have answers, but they always try and help. They do have returns for unused items, so if you get home and change your mind it's not a problem even though it is a specialty store. more
