Call Karli, I just got my hair done by her & I couldn't be more impressed. My hair was a hot mess going in & walked out I felt like a million bucks, but for a very reasonable price. Yeah, it's super hard to find a great haircut on this island. I have been trying for eight years. I wear my hair layered & alot of stylists refuse to take any of the weight out my naturally full hair leaving it looking too full & rather frumpy. I had a small picture of what I was looking for, that I had shown others to no avail, & Karli looked at it and said that would be great and proceeded to give me the best cut of my life. I left the salon looking at least 10 years younger. Oh & by the way I can wash it and do nothing to it & it looks great or I can dry it & flat iron it for a more polished look. I went to see her because of the great reviews that I read on here and I just want everyone to know that it is all true. Karli is super talented & a real sweetie too:) more

I have had a number of bad hair salon experiences in Maui...maybe not a lot of them are well trained?? Anyway, I read Karli's great reviews and wanted to check her out for myself. She's extremely personable, very professional, and definitely knows how to cut hair. In fact, this is probably the best hair cut I have had in years. She knew what cut and style would best suit me. All I said was ""side bangs"" and ""long enough to tie up"" and voil?!! She performed magic :) I am not exaggerating. Karli has a gift and if u want ur hair transformed, and trust me you do, you will call Karli and set up an appointment asap! Btw, she is supposed to be an awesome colorist too! To anyone who is reading this: I am a unpaid real customer...in fact, I just got my hair cut today. You will not be disappointed by your salon experience with Karli. Salon is great. i usually do not let anyone touch my hair other than my stylist. and i have know my stylist since i was born. so when i came here i was looking for someone who really got me and really knew how work with my hair. i went to one salon and had a fine experience but not like at rutz hair salon. stylist karli, cut and styled my hair and it looked great. she talked me through every little cut, styling technique, and after care. she was awesome. i feel like i can truly go back and tell her to do what ever she wants. and i usually only do that with my stylist at home. she took my hair from looking okay to va va voom. go see karli. you will be glad you did!!! I just went to Rutz for the first time and my stylist was Karli. I highly recommend her. I have tried a few stylists after moving here from LA and I wasn't crazy about any of them. I was in Maui for my son's wedding and was treated to a new colr, cut and style at Rutz. It was the best cut and color I have had in over 20 years!! My hair looked stylish even after snorkling. Rachel was the stylist and was a Redken expert. She colored and highlighted, cut it in a beautiful look and was really professional and caring. I also had nails and make-up done. This is THE place to go to look your best and feel like a new and ""make-over"" you. Thank you to Rachel and the entire salon staff.
