Robin's Academy of Dance

Once Robin passed away this studio has gone down hill. Although they have tried to keep the studio going its attendance has gone done and does not have its heart in keeping Robin's way of teaching and caring in it. I would not recommend this studio. Way too much drama. more

This dance studio is tops for dance classes. The teachers are very compassionate, understanding and professional. Your dancer works for the entire school year for a recital performance. The recitals are one of best performances in New York State for a the capital districts dance studio. Most of all your dancer will enjoy learning and feel great about themselves. Dancing here is one of the best experiences we personally have encountered. The studio is clean and the staff is friendly. I recommend this studio everyone who has ever thought about dancing. It is great for ones self esteem at any age. The studio is represented by a competition dance team called Robin's Rising Stars. The entire team dances at this studio and competes at Regional and National dance competitions. They are a phenomenal group of dancers who give 110% when performing. The have won many prestiges awards for the studio. Robin's Academy of Dance is a great place for dancers 3-seniors. If you are serious about learning dance come here. You will be glad you did. more

Robins Academy of Dance is an ok dance school for the younger students. However once a child reaches the point of being very interested in dance I would reconsider this studio. Not only are some of the YOUNG teachers lacking "professionalism" they lack courtesy and manners. The expense of 1 costume for 1 dance was over $150 this past year. The lack of "togetherness" in ALL classes was evident in the recital- there was not 1 number is which the students were together or the arms the same etc.... The youngest dancers were cute singing their little tunes, but that was about all that interested me. (Besides the teachers leaning on the stage directing each and every dance!) more
