We arrived at this Bed & Breakfast to attend Allegheny College graduation with great hopes and six family members. The description of Rider Hill sounds very inviting--- original woodwork, large front porch and fireplace. In reality, it is shockingly dirty and in disrepair. A beer can with cigarette butts and a filthy front porch welcome you. The carpets haven't been vacuumed or cleaned. The rooms upstairs appear charming but upon closer inspection reveal a bathroom that is not clean, has two faucets at the sink but only one handle and no exhaust fan. The kitchen was disorganized and just as dirty as everything else. After surveying the situation, we gathered our things and were fortunate to find two rooms at the Holiday Inn in Meadville. \r

We have stayed at a variety of Bed & Breakfasts and certainly do not expect perfection. A little disrepair is one thing. But there is no excuse for not cleaning. Rider Hill should not be allowed to be in business.
Cons: Dirty and in disrepair
