Best

the title says it all... the brisket sandwich is a steal (the bread doesnt sandwich the meat so much as serve as a platform for it), and the cornbread is awesome. don't worry yo...

Worst

If you can get past the ambience of a garage sale. You have some of the best BBQ in the area. Go for the Take-Out and dont forget the Red Beans and Rice, worth the trip alone.

ICKY 9/15/2003

This place sure does smell good but when you get up to order the prices will blow your mind. My family of 3 spent $35 to get barely enough to satisfy us and the food wasn't half as tasty as it smelled. Needless to say, I will never return! Cons: Expensive more

Mediocre 7/12/2003

The food, especially the barbeque sauce, was mediocre. The meat had way too much fat and not enough taste. The potato salad was good but thats about it. Im still seeking anything approaching good barbeque in the NW and haven't found any yet. There are a lot of good people and good places to eat just no places with good barbeque. Pros: nice people, potato salad Cons: poor food, poor sauce, poor barbeque more

Spendy, quality poor 4/4/2003

Moving here from the South I had high hopes for this place. While his sauce was decent the ribs were fatty and at times tough. His prices are way too high based on the quality. Cons: Expensive more

The BBQ that killed ELVIS! 8/20/2002

I don't know what part of the south the people who poo poo'd Reo's are from, but I suspect both were from WEST of the Mississippi! Texas BBQ ISN'T Mississippi style BBQ! Lets just say, I've been looking for SIX YEARS for GOOD BBQ here in Portland, i.e., REAL SOUTHERN BBQ and have come pretty close on several occassions, but REO's is IT! This is the BBQ that killed Elvis (THAT MEANS ITS REAL GOOD). Pros: Good food, Great ambiance Cons: No White beans!, Little pricey for BBQ more

You don't even need the Wet Nap! 6/16/2002

Seriously, you won't even need the wet nap that Reo's provides. It is just that good. The sauce is a wonderful blend of sweet & spice. I come from the south where roadside bbq is something to cherish... my how I have missed it. No longer must I cry! I have found my new bbq home. The price is amazing. The portions are astounding. The service is charming. Do yourself a favor... Go for a drive! Pros: Taste, Portions, Price Cons: Not one near me! more

A Unanimous Vote for Reo's Ribs 5/28/2002

Recently my husband and I moved into our first house and we asked the people helping us move what they wanted to eat. Everyone said at the same time ""Reo's Ribs"". I ordered a tray of chicken for sandwiches and a tray of pork ribs. The chicken was very tender and had no fat pieces (I hate that). The meat on the pork ribs practically fell off the bones. Everyone was very pleased and very full. more
