Renee's Custom Catering

After getting hundreds of cakes from Renee' I have never had a complaint. I asked her about the complaint one of her customers had put on this site, and she explained that the cake was accidentally delivered to the NCO Club at Ft Jackson instead of the Officer's Club by one of her employees. Out of the thousands of cakes she has delivered one bad episode should not ruin her good name. It seems to me that with all the calling they would have thought to call the NCO Club. I have been a customer of Renee's for over 20 years and never had a complaint. The Officer's Club is only a short distance from the NCO Club, therefore most normal people would have reasoned that the cake was there. Mistakes do happen, but the customer should share a little blame in this instance. Pros: Always courteous service and great food. Cons: None more

My mother in law and newly husband went and ordered our wedding cake from this lady. They said that the cake was delicious and we were all excited to see how the cake would turn out for our wedding! On our wedding day, WE NEVER GOT OUR WEDDING CAKE!! So when we got to the reception, there was an empty cake table and not only that, one of our groomsmen had to run out to a local grocery store during our picture time (he missed picture time with us) to get a small cake so that we could do our cake cutting. It was horrible! Groomsmen and family tried to call and call her. She never picked up or returned our calls until a week after the wedding. She said that she didn't get our messages until 5pm that day. 5PM, we were still having cocktail hour which would've been enough time to call us back or for her to deliver to the right location but she didn't!!! You know, it's just a cake after all. It didn't ruin the wedding but everytime i see a nice cakes at weddings, i have a sore spot. You never get that back and the pictures for when we did our cake cutting were so disappointing! I'd rethink before using her especially if it's for a wedding. In the end she did return all the money and even pay for the grocery bought cake, however, I wouldn't risk it! more

I can't put into words how much I love this cake! After numerous cake tastings all over town, we selected Renee's to make our wedding cake because her cakes are beautiful and classic. We chose 3 different flavors (yellow cake, lemon poundcake, almond poundcake) across 4 tiers. Our wedding guests raved about all the flavors! We just celebrated our first anniversary and we were not hopeful that the cake held up over the course of the year, especially since we had freezer issues (resulting in thawing and refreezing several times). To our surprise, we bit into a slice and it was as good (if not better) than the cake on our wedding day! It was so moist and flavorful, it tasted like it was freshly baked. In fact, we're thinking of reasons to go back to Columbia just so we can swing by Renee's and get more almond poundcake! more

This is absolutely the best catering service that I have ever used. The food is great, and served fresh. The cakes are delicious, and the wedding cakes the most beautiful that I have ever seen. The owner is most helpful and courteous, and knows all the details of parties that I would have never thought of. The best of the best. Pros: Service, Courteous, Value more
