Can I give a zero for reviews? This place is shady. I returned a U-Haul truck to them after filling the gas 3/4ths full in accordance with U-Haul policy. Note the gas station is on Backlick road- .5 miles from Rainbow Rentals. That day, I am told I am good to go, and nobody needs to see the truck, they just asked me if the gas was full, and I said yes. The next day I get a receipt from them charging me 45 dollars for ""fuel."" When I disputed the charge, I was told the gas was only half full, and they took a picture on some guy's cell phone to prove it bc this tends to happen often with them. The guy said it was common business practice. I find it odd that this is their business practice instead of walking WITH THE CUSTOMER to ensure the fuel gauge is where it should be. And who takes cell phone pictures?? When I arrived at the store to see the picture in person, I was told the worker who took it was out and to come back next week. When I asked for the U-Haul VA manager's info, I was told I could not have it because Fabio (the guy behind the desk) needed time to tell him ""his side of the story"" first. Odd. I have since contacted U-Haul to register my complaint. I even called the Boston U-Haul where I picked up the truck to ask if they take cell phone pics of the gas gauge, and they said they always ensure they are with the customer before letting them depart. Bottom line- this place is SHADY, avoid them or they will take advantage of you and have no shame in doing it.
