At one time, I'm sure the Mountain Valley Inn was a nice place to stay. Sadly, those days are long gone. The staff must have received their training from the IRS. Friendly just isn't a trait they even care to investigate. The rooms, while clean, are very dark and dingy. During our stay, the pool was closed for two days because "something died in there". (See the friendly aspect?) Their "security system" consisted of a chain lock and they still have the old fashioned keyed doors. If you stay here, good luck. You'll need it.
