Don't bother w/this salon! I had an appointment at 5:30 on a Friday evening and didn't leave until 10:15pm. When I left, my hair surprisingly looked exactly like it did when I walked in! I wanted to change my color from dark brown/black to red. (Aveda color 5RR to be exact). Both Amanda and Lisa (the owner) consulted me and instructed me on what was best for my hair, yada, yada, yada.... and then the bleaching process started. She then put the color on my hair and left it on too long? I assume? Or she mixed the incorrect color? Anyways, once she rinsed my color and started blo-drying, I was biting my lip in hopes that once it was dry, the red would be obvious. Sorry, but it wasn't any redder. My hair actually looked darker brown/black then when I first walked in. Amanda told me that ""hopefully"" after a few washings, the color would lighten up. If not - she would correct the color free of charge. She sent me away with a bottle of Aveda custom blended conditioner in a bright red color - and told me to use it daily. I'm sure she was hoping it wold deposit some red to my hair and she wouldn't have to re-color my hair. Anyways, I called to schedule my appt. to fix my color and Amanda was great - in the beginning. Unfortunately, I was having a hard time finding another 5 HOUR window for this hair appointment and eventually, Amanda and Lisa, both failed to return my calls. Therefore, I had to go somewhere else to have my ""botched"" hair color corrected. Obviously, this is not a cheap process. Needless to say - I won't be going back to this shady little salon. I'm a little surprised that it is considered an Aveda salon to be honest. It's a hole in the wall, and looks like a dingy barber shop. Amanda even confessed to me that she wasn't actually licensed or trained by Aveda. With that said, she probrably shouldn't be working at an Aveda salon. Usually - that knowledge and training is usually what you're going after!
Pros: It's in Los Gatos
Cons: Horrible all the way around
