Happy hour at the library 4/5/2006

Storytime at the Provo Library is a must for any family. This library offers interactive story (and dancing, puppet, bubble, singing, learning) time for various age groups and in both English and Spanish. Their selection of books, magazines, and media (CDs, DVDs, etc.) is pretty good. It is especially nice to check out movies for free. This library also serves the local community by providing internet for patrons and tax forms as well as hosting movie nights and renting their gorgeous space for weddings and other events. The staff also seems to be very knowledgeable and have made some great recommendations for books that both my daughter and I would enjoy. If you already hold an Orem Library card, they can quickly set you up in their system, so you don't have to apply for and carry two library cards. more

Great, Modern, Local Library 8/18/2005

The Provo City Library after recent rennovations has become a great icon of the blossoming Provo City. Featuring the renovated and rebuilt building at the old Brigham Young Academy, the library now houses a large collection of books, magazines, DVD's, movies, and electronic resources. Membership is free and all you need is some sort of Provo City verification. more

I love my library 8/18/2005

This is a great public library. Lots and lots of books, of course. They have free Internet access to patrons - 1.5 hours a day, not too shabby. I am able to find most of the books I am looking for here. It's also great to rent DVD's - limit of 2 at a time per family, and VHS - no limit. Free movies! You can also have your events here with the rooms they rent. My friend had her wedding reception here, and it was very nice. They also have fun programs for free. For example, they run a free murder mystery game you can do as a group (3-18 people, must be scheduled at least 1 week ahead, not available Mondays). Haven't had a chance to yet, but sounds fun. They have classes and a book club and other fun. more

Public Library 8/17/2005

The Provo City Library is a great place to check out books and media related items. It's also a great place to go and study. They also offer rooms for rent for a special occasion or a business gathering. The best part of the library is the children's section. It is very inviting to children to spend hours and read. They also offer computer terminals to go online and surf the world wide web. more

Great Public Library 8/17/2005

This is a great public library. It is located in the Academy Square building which is very nice. It has a great selection of all types of books, as well as a good selection of VHS and DVDs that you can check out. They offer many community services like storytime for children, as well as have all the government forms you might need for things such as your taxes. Overall, it's a great llibrary. more
