The most Delicious salad bar in all of East Texas 4/27/2010

I'm not your typical food critic, but I do love to eat. The Potpourri House is, by far, one of my favorite places to eat in all of Tyler. I almost always indulge in the salad bar. But to call Potpourri House's salad bar a salad bar sells it short. This is not your ""run of the mill"" salad bar. Baked potatoes with all the trimmings and at least two delectable soups of the day make this salad bar a perfect choice for any meal. The pimento cheese and cornbread salad are two of my family's favorites. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Pros: pimento cheese to die for more

Cute little gift shop 3/10/2010

This place is definitely unique. They have a cute little gift shop inside the restaurant. The gift shop has cleaver little baubles that you just have to buy. .I enjoyed my time in there.\r The food was good. It was a brunch kind of meal that was lite and tasty. more

Don't miss out! 4/13/2007

The Potpourri House is one of the nicest places to eat in Tyler. The food is always good and the service is excellent. You will not be disappointed in this nice little restraunt. You can do a little shopping while you are there as well. I have had lunch and dinner and have enjoyed both. You can't go wrong eating here. expect to spend about $10 - 12 buck for lunch but it is worth it. The food is usually pretty healthy as well. more

One of My Favorites 10/5/2006

Potpourri House is one of my favorite places for lunch. (I haen't had dinner there in several years but understand it is very good as well.) I usually have the salad/soup/potato bar but have had some of the daily specials. Service is always good. Be sure to try the spice tea. It is great served over ice in warmer weather and served hot in cooler weather. Be sure to shop for clothing, accessories, and home decor items while you're there. Pros: Good service, great food, eat and shop at the same time more

Potporri Best 9/6/2005

I would have to rate the Potporri House as the best restaurant in Tyler TX. I first dined there about 2 years ago, and they have the most tenderest T-Bone Steak, I ever tasted. And the prices are not very expensivee. They have quaint Shops with nice scented candles, clothes and other items. Hard to find things. more

Portpourri House 9/2/2005

This place is definately unique. They have a cute little shop inside the restraunt. The gift shop has clothes in it that are cute if you are liking the country style clothes and they have other nice things in there. The food is different, I wasn't that impressed with the selection of food on the menu or the food itself. I left out of there hungry cause I didn't really like it. There servers were good they were friendly and nice. more

No Place Better 7/28/2002

The Potpourri House must be one of the best all around places I have had lunch at. I travel to large cities often and have yet found another that I find more attractive, appetizing, or friendly. They not only have original dishes but a great salad/potato/soup bar that is always fresh. I highly recommend this place to anyone! I frequent this establishment and my only complaint is that the salad bar is the same daily. They could change it a bit for those of us that are regulars. Pros: quality, atmosphere more
