Well stocked European Shop 7/9/2009

My partner is Polish and introduced me to the native foods in SoCal. So I searched and found this little deli and have been very satisfied overall. I've shopped here several times, coming in from Oakland. My favorites are the Polish sausages and the Pierogies. Yes, the Pierogies are from Chicago and they also have some home made ones for soups, but I prefer the others to brown in the saute pan. I'm not an expert on this food, but am happy that I can purchase some things that remind my parther of his childhood and growing up on the food of his Babcia (who evidently made some of the best cabbage rolls ?golobki?. Try it out! Pros: Good Variety of Products Cons: Sometimes I Can't Find What I Need more

Delikateski are fine! 3/3/2009

It seems like the customer and her Babcia (Grandma) visited a Polish Deli on their bad day or maybe should go back to Chicago. I can not agree with anything. First of all: Delikateski is European Deli what means than you can have products from different countries!!! Second: How much will cost import ham originated from Poland? But they have a cheese ?made in Poland?, herbs, ?kasza? for famous ?krupnik? (a soup), red ?barszcz?, sweets made in Poland, hand made pierogi, the best ?Babunia Ham?, etc. German bread (best in area) is made fresh here in California and is no different from what I know from Poland. I always buy a lot of it and freeze to have it fresh. Try yourself. I supply my American friends with this bread and other product and they love it. One more comment: Do not like the place ? fine ? but be fair! more

this place SUCKED OUT LOUD!!! 2/21/2009

This place was horrible!!! The women behind the counter was very rude. I traveled 3 ? hrs to get to this place because the man on the phone said d they had the Polish ham & many other Polish lunch meats I was looking for not to mention Kiszka. Got there and they had nothing?well not nothing lots of Polish Beer & Polish Cookies. The rye bread wasn?t even Polish! The Pierogi they had (I make my own would never buy but think I might go into business) was from Chicago & turns out they get all the meat from N.Y. City. Very disappointed. Have looked hi and low for a Polish Deli since I moved here from Chicago & I thought , after speaking to the man over the phone that I had found the Holy Grail! Turns out just some crappy Polish lady with nothing to offer. Though I will say it was fun to watch my 94 year old Babcia argue with the women in Polish! Don?t tell a 94 year old lady who grew up in Poland you have Polish food and then show her German Rye bread. Pros: none Cons: everyhting more
