My children went to Rossevelt Elementary, which is right up the street from Pizza Italiana. PTA had the good sense to use them as food vendors for one of the family night events. Since then, it's been an affair of the taste buds for my family with Pizza Italiana. From the gorgeous, and soothing murals in the restaurant, to the scrumptious recipes that are prepared fresh daily, you'd think that you had been transported to a bistro in Europe! Mary and Pete; the owners, are never too busy to engage in a conversation. That really makes me feel welcome - SALUTE!! more

Great place for a small wedding reception! 2/12/2010

My husband and I had our wedding reception here, because this is where he proposed to me, and it couldn't have been better! It was a small reception of only about 40 people, but everyone there said it was the best food they've ever had at a reception. Mary (one of the owners) was so helpful, she even let us store the wedding cake in the cooler the night before, so that it would be nice and fresh for the reception. The staff had excellent customer service and was on top of everything! I really can't say enough about this place!\r Thanks for making my special day so memorable!\r \r ~Holly Pros: Best Italian food ever! Great service! Cons: None to think of more

This is a great place to eat -- looking for pizza, cabbage roles, lentil soup or a gluten free menu? Then Pizza Italia is a great place to go. Everything is homemade and the service is friendly an prompt. Pros: Gluten free menu and great regular menu more

Ever eat somewhere and from time to time it just pops in your head that you have to have it? 12/17/2008

I'm a mom that has family out for dinner quite a bit. I've eaten just about every pizza you could imagine. This place was different. It's not often you eat somewhere that really impresses you, but this place is on my mind for dinner about once a week. I,m highly recommending it because it's my favorite place to eat and everyone I take there asks for it every time. Pros: What you get for how much you pay is unbelievable. And it's good! more

Best artisan pizza on the planet!!! 12/9/2008

Words cannot discribe how amazing this pizza is! I got my favorite topping, blanco and used there amazing pizza sause for dipping. It's not very often I'm suprised by food but this was a pleasent one. And the owners, Mary and Pete came out personally to ask me how my dinner was. I told them the truth, it was the best I'd ever eaten. This is the only pizza restaurant I've ever given a 5 star rating. Pros: How delicious the food is at no more cost then lesser pizza resaurants. Cons: I really have nothing bad to say, For what they're trying to do, they more then deliver. more

Pizza Italiana!!! By far, Vancouvers best Italian and Greek food secret. And price is hard to beat. 12/9/2008

When I first moved to Vancouver money was tight. I found this classic but comfortable pizza restaurant on 4th plain and walked in to see what they had. I didn't think I could afford the place. It was so nice and the food! I picked up a menu and was shocked to see it was priced around what you'd see anywhere. I ordered the biggest special they had and when the owner himself brought it out it was huge! A giant, delicious artisan style pizza that made that night the best pizza night we'd had all year. All I'd wanted was to do something nice for my family on a medium budget. That night Pizza Italiana really made me look like a hero. I highly recommend anyone who loves food to try it!!! more
