Pawprints has been open for almost five months now and wow has the shop continued to change. The owner Jeanette is constantly adding new products for the seasons, holidays, and general merchandise. I love the handmade step in harnesses from Greytful, the beautiful necklaces for cats and dogs, and the great price on dog and cat food. I am able to get my Wellness Cat Food for $2 less than my previous pet store and the Merrick Dog Food that Iused to drive thirty minutes to get is fifty cents less. The selection of dog clothes and collars and people gifts is outstanding. Every time I shop I spend way to much money! more

So I decided to try the Puppy Purse out on my Rat Terrier Daisy Mae. She is about 13 pounds and took the largest size that Puppy Purse makes. I placed her paws in each of the openings and then brought the carrier up onto her back and velcroed her into the carrier. I was worried that the velcro would come undone, but is quite strong. At this point Daisy was just looking at me like, 'What in the world are you doing to me?' However she didn't struggle and when I picked up the Puppy Purse and hung it on my shoulder she just looked around and seemed intriqued by her new height. I kept her in the carrier for about 5 minutes and she remained calm and inquistive. While this test did not make me buy a Puppy Purse I did get over a lot of my apprehensions. Daisy just weighs to much to carry a round as a purse, besides she loves to run. I can see the Puppy Purse being a great accessory for people with toy breeds. I visited Paw Prints Across Your Heart on their third day of business. Jeanette the owner was friendly and helpful, the store is quite welcoming. The store has a good selection of toys, collars, and clothes. She also carries 3 or 4 lines of premium foods. I found a harness that I have been wanting to buy, but was unsure of the sizing so I was excited. I think Paw Prints will develop into a great store, it has a ton of potential! I stopped and talked with Jeanette and she is open to suggestions on what products we would like her to carry.
