The night before I was due to travel for work to the West Coast, my 5 yr old American Bulldog became very ill with GI issues. She was stable when I left town, and under my husband's close watch, she became worse. Dr. Klimovitz saw her first thing in the morning when he called and explained Raven's signs and symptoms. A few things that impressed me: Raven is over 120lbs, so Dr. Klimovitz dedicated one of the exam rooms to Raven to be in for 2 days, as she was too big for a crate and was already very uncomforatable. The team set the room up with blankets to make Raven more comfortable. They bathed her several times, as she was very messy from her illness. AND, not only did they take great care of her and answer all of our questions (calling me in LA separately from giving my husband updates, to be sure I was informed and comfortable with the treatment plan), but they sent me pictures of her while I was away on business! That eased my mind because I could see her and see that she was okay. She is home now and we are very greatful for the care she received and the customer service that we received. more

I have been to Perry Hall twice with my cat, Tigger. I have seen both Dr. Klimovitz and Dr. Brazil. Both doctors are extremely friendly and very knowledgable. Their staff is just as friendly and are very patient with me when I ask lots of questions! Also, they have a hospital cat, Mugsy, who always lays on the counter and greets all the customers. I have only been to the hospital within the last three months, but from what I have heard from other customers while waiting is the hospital has a more ""friendly"" feel to it. One of the receptionists mentioned they painted the waiting room and hung pictures. It looks great! It is a very calm and soothing atmosphere for me and my cat! Lastly, they are VERY reasonably priced! I would recommend Perry Hall Animal Hospital to EVERYONE!! more

I took my dog into Perry Hall Animal Hospital for a mild case of arthritis and was prescribed Rimadyl. They called it a 'miracle drug'. It is a miracle that my dog is still alive. Eight days after he started taking it he became critically ill. I had to hospitalize him and the entire episode ended up costing me just short of $1,800.00 dollars. At no time was I informed of what could happen if he took this medication. Most upsetting was Perry Hall's unwillingness to take responsibility for what happened. When I contacted Dr. Kilmovitz to tell her that I thought they have an obligation to disclose the associated hazards of the medication she simply said she would 'talk' to the prescribing doctor, who was Dr. Brazil. They offered to reimburse me for the Rimadyl, which would not be worth the time it would take me to get it back to them. I will never go back to Perry Hall and strongly caution everyone considering taking their pets there. more

Dr.Klimovitz and the staff and Perry Hall Animal Hospital are the best! They have the biggest hearts and truly love what they do. We saw Dr.Klimovitz at another practice and had to move with her when we heard she was moving to Perry Hall. Our dog, Laney, went through a 19-week chemotherapy treatment with Dr. Klimovitz. Perry Hall Animal Hospital and Dr. Klimovitz are remarkable. I was a client at her previous office and would not trust the care of my dogs to noone else but Dr. K. Her care and compassion for animals is genuine and sincere.\r I must give her full credit for saving one of my dogs' life. I have a Rottweiller, Brianna, who has a very complex disease, along wih other issues. She is diabetic and unfortunately has suffered greatly in the past due to her previous Dr.'s not knowing how to deal with her complex issues and the diabetes.\r I was blessed to find Dr.K. She took her time to analyze all of Brianna's problems and took the time to educate me, as well, so I could have better control of her disease at home. \r She has also been a blessing for my other dog, Peanut, that suffers from a severe case of allergies. Noone was able to figure out the true condition of Peanut, as all her symptoms were always contributed to other conditions from other Vets that were not even existent. Dr.K was able to give me a diagnosis and treatment that made sense. Thanks to Dr. K and her amazingly remarkable staff, I believe I will have many more enjoyable years with my pets than I would have under the care of another Vet.\r As crazy as it seems, I have a better relationship with Dr. K than I do my own Dr. and my Pediatrician for my child. She is willing and available to help all the time and is just a phone call away. I am very happy for her and her endeavor she has begun on taking over the Perry Hall Animal Hospital. Good things truly do happen to good people! I never took the opportunity to say thank you to her for all of her hard work, dedication, and pride. Perry Hall Animal Hospital is amazing! We made our visit this past June with our new puppy, Lily. Time after time they have continued to impress and exceed our expectations. Let?s start with Dr. Klimovitz: Every so often you encounter a person that performs their job as if they were born to do it and Dr. Klimovitz is just that. Her passion for animals is visible from the very start. We were in awe as she took the time to get to know Lily before administering any services. Yes, that included lots of puppy kisses! Each and every time we are there for various vaccines, Dr. Klimovitz makes us feel as if we are the only appointment that day. The techs, assistants, and front desk staff are also remarkable. Not only are we greeted with a smile each time, but each member of Dr. Klimovitz?s staff seems to make their way out into the waiting room to greet us. Their genuine concern of Lily?s well-being reassures us that she is certainly in good hands. They have actually made Lily enjoy her visits. She went from being a scared puppy that did not want to leave our arms to a puppy that cannot wait to plant some kisses on faces. Simply put, there is no place I would rather have my puppy than at Perry Hall Animal Hospital. It is not a business where you are pressured into purchasing erroneous services/medications/etc? Rather, it is a family that we are proud to be a part of. If you are taking the time to read this review, chances are that you have a heartfelt love for your pet. I first went to Dr. Klimovitz for a second opinion about my dog's ACL tear. The decision to go with her for the surgery was clear even before I walked out of the door - and now I need no second opinions. Everything that Wendy LaGrant says is true - Dr. Klimovitz even contacted me the morning after my dog's surgery (Thanksgiving) to make sure that everything was going smoothly. The staff that has followed her is purely professional and just as kind, personable, and caring. \r \r I was at PHAH for a scheduled appointment on the day that ""sewwolf"" was there and I can confirm that she was offered the opportunity to wait until the appointments ahead of her were complete so that her dog could be seen - I had the last appointment of the day so her wait would not have been long. \r \r I would say to ""sewwolf"" and ""pennylane90"" and those like them that change can often be unexpected and disruptive but usually is for the best. You are doing your pets a disservice by not giving Dr. Klimovitz and PHAH a second chance... more

The first time we met Dr. Klimovitz (Dr. K.) she got down on the ground and gave my beagle mix, Lester, a hug and kiss! Who does that??? Dr. K. doesI Our cat, Mr. B, developed a serious infection that ultimately required surgery. Dr. K. did all she could first to save us the cost of surgery. Then, when our kittie developed a serious burn. Dr. K took the time from her busy surgery schedule to see Mr. B. Dr. K. services well beyond regular office hours by checking in with us personally, and allowing us to send her photos to her cell phone She has always been responsive and by her manner you can tell her mission is to aide and improve the health and well being of animals. We are thrilled that Dr. K. purchased her own practice and that she is now closer to our home. Bottom line she ROCKS as well as her staff! AND we LOVE the website! Megan & Wendy more

I was a long time client of Perry Hall animal hospital. With Dr Mulinex, Reid, Baker. However the new management in my opinion doesn't care about the previous clients of the practice. I took my dog there for a nail clipping,however that very day she had had some problem with the steps and I asked If I could have 5 minutes of the vet's time to take a quick look at her. And was told no. You don't have an appointment. She can call you later. The dog is there now, calling me later isn't going to help. She's a senior dog and I was concerned about the small fall she took on the steps. Apparently I was the only one concerned. I can't believe she couldn't give me 5 mintues of her time to take a quick look. I wouldn't have minded waiting. And then after telling me it was ok to resume her medicine of which they didn't carry anymore, they refused to renew it through a third party provider claiming animal needed a visit. That's why I wanted her to look at her. To get the medicine straight. One of the techs could have done a blood test. So obvious to say I'm not a client of Perry Hall animal hospital. And also previous management wasn't straight with patients about the sale of the practice. Everyone should have been notified of this. It's a shame my dog was a patient there for 11 years and the care had been good. There is not way one vet can handle the practice of which consisted of 3 vets. more

I cannot begin to tell you what a fantastic and caring vet Dr. Klimovitz is. I followed her from her last office when she started her own practice at Perry Hall Animal Hospital. It's further from my home, but she is worth the drive. I can say, without reservation, that she is by far the best vet I have ever met. She is the reason both of my Miniature Dachshunds are still with me. She has gone above, and beyond, what any other vet has ever done to help us. She is amazing with the animals. I've never seen a vet who cares so much for each and every animal that she comes in contact with. In addition to Dr. Klimovitz, is her staff. Cannot say enough wonderful things about them either. They've always treated my pets like a prince & princess. They couldn't be more professional or kind. Not only does she have her own practice now, she also runs a non-profit organization called, Free Vets for Pets, which provides free vaccinations for pets. You can find them on Facebook. I was uninformed they were under new management. Walked in and Dr. Klimovitz speaks more to the pet than acknowledging the owner. My experience wasn't so great. The receptionist was friendly, but the tech seemed quite rude and not very friendly. Will not go back after years of going there. more

I've only had but a couple visits to Perry Hall Animal Hospital, but I must say, every time I leave, I feel as though my pets received the best care. Dr. Klimovitz is so personable and kind, and her staff is equally wonderful. The hospital is both clean and easy to find. I have definitely found my go-to vet! more

I took two kittens here after finding them dirty and sick in the street. Both had respiratory and eye infections, as well as ringworm. The kittens were extremely dirty and ill, but Perry Hall Animal Hospital made me feel like I'd won the pet lottery! The vets were great--friendly, knowledgeable, and wonderful to talk to. They gave me advice on how to get my dirty kittens into tip-top condition. The vet tech who assisted me was superb as well and I could tell that she really enjoyed her job. I take my now 5-year-old cats here every year for their annual exams, and the vet tech still remembers them! Other vets may be a little bit cheaper, but PH Animal Hospital provides excellent service and that is what keeps me coming back. Pros: Friendly staff, professional, easy to make appointments more

This is a fantastic classic drug store located conveniently in downtown Martinsburg. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the pharmacist is willing to explain anything you have questions about. They also have a fabulous little lunch counter. The food and drinks are excellent! I went here frequently as a child and enjoy taking my own kids there now. We still have a tradition of stopping for a "jojo" every chance we get, as this is the only place I have ever been able to get one. On the street parking can be a challenge, but there is a city lot behind the building. PROS: great atmosphere, pleasant helpful staff CONS: more
