Walked out not once, but twice. Sorry I tried a second time. Happy Hour time, sat at the bar with a friend. Was not crowded, but the bartender just couldn't make her way down to us to offer any service. After 10 minutes, I got up and went to the other end of the bar to order. We left after one drink and went to the Mexican restaurant next door. Second visit - same bartender - again not crowded. Sat for at least 10 minutes. Father/son duo sat 2 barstools away from us. Bartender finally came our way ... but oops...only to ask the the two guys if they wanted another drink. Completely ignored us as if we didn't exist. This time we just left and haven't been back since. more

This use to be a great place, but not anymore. If you have a problem with another patron bothering you, staff will do nothing to stop it, so enter at your own risk. Apparently being pushed, yelled at, slandered, and your car urinated on isn't grounds for getting kicked out of this establishment. The new manager, among other things, slanders other patrons, gossips, and gets into everyone's personal business, spouting out personal information of both patrons and staff members at the bar for everyone to hear. He treats the staff with disrespect, and has appeared to be intoxicated on several occasions. Certain people get preferential treatment compared to others. You can't even go in there anymore and have a fun conversation without being told you are talking to loudly and asked to move so someone can watch TV or do their crossword. Isn't that what your home is for? If you want quiet go to the library or stay at home. If you're looking for a fun place to go during the day, meet up with friends, kick back and talk, and have a good time...this is not the place for you. Good riddance. more

This place is filthy, dirty and disgusting. Recently they were closed down for a cockroach infestation among many other infractions that they refused to fix per the Orange County Health Inspection Board. Please follow this link so you may see for yourselves : foodinspections.... Not only is the condition of the building sub par, but the clientele leaves a lot to be desired. You will see many of the same people day in and day out, they call themselves ""regulars"", let's be honest, it's just a nicer way of saying you're an alcoholic. This isn't ""Cheers"". If you're looking to meet new people who have goals and drive, this isn't the place for you. There are many other respectable, clean, and fun places to go. Don't waste your time at Patsy's and certainly don't eat their food or you may get an unwanted surprise. A few of the bartenders also can't seem to keep their hands off the alcohol and can be found working drunk and taking shots with bar patrons, which correct me if I am wrong, is Illegal in the state of California. Just b/c you put it in a plastic cup, doesn't mean we can't smell it on you and see your appalling drunken behavior. Also, some ""regulars"" tend to get special privileges such as having their tab held all weekend long only to pay a fraction of what it would cost anyone else. Paying only $20 on a $100 + tab doesn't seem quite fair to everyone else, does it? Maybe if the owners spent a little more time checking up on their employees they would actually know what's going on. more

Was ""banned"" by Eddie Martinez the bouncer for being too loud. Spoke with the owner, and Jan (head bartender), I was told I was ok to come back within a week (so they could tell all the bouncers I was allowed back). Came back, Eddie got in my face (bouncer) said ""I will knock you down""...tried to fight me, I walked away. John (big papa john) comes out and says ""you started up with eddie, leave"". Eddie Martinez the bouncer essentially manipulates the senile management of this establishment.\r \r I spent gas a month prior and time to drive all the way down, not having a single drink, to talk with Jan and John (papa john) about Eddie and getting back in without being kicked out, and they gave me the ""ok"". Yet it seems like the bouncer threatened to quit if I was allowed back in. And essentially had me kicked out before I could even walk through the door, despite the owner and the head bartender, he has a ton of influence for no reason whatsoever. Eddie Martinez is an out of shape cholo who thinks he can fight and pretends to be a badass, who is he fooling? Eddie, if you're reading this, you want to knock me down? The only thing you're knockin down is big macs fattie.\r \r Owners are unprofessional. They tell you one thing but if the bouncers simply don't like you, you're not getting in. Most of the women are taken and/or fat/ugly. Drinks are expensive $7.50 for a shot of vodka in a dive bar? Please.\r \r You're better off going to TGI fridays or Daily's. This place is terrible. It's also a very well-known cop stand for DUI's.\r \r Jan if you're reading this....you want to hang up on me because you're busy and say I started something with Eddie because he simply doesn't want me there? You're getting this truthful review. You (head manager) told me to take this review down to save the face of your business, well, I'm putting it back up, and drinking elsewhere. You've lost my business, and the business of anyone I ever meet long enough to tell them about your shitty bar.\r \r You're going to have to call ME to take this down. This used to be a great place - a dive, but with lots of locals and a friendly atmosphere.\r \r I went back there recently and found that it has been sold to new owners. The manager now is this old grumpy guy (with a penchant for young men). \r \r He harrasses the bartenders, and shoves his nose into every conversation going on in the bar. He is constantly bitching about something and mostly the ol' regulars have turned elsewhere.\r \r Heard that the owners sold the Laguna Niguel location also - hope the manager over there is better.\r \r Go elsewhere for a nice friendly evening. more

\r Patsy's in Mission Viejo (not to be confused with the Patsys in Lagune Niguel) is a classic, dive bar that has Karaoke every night, drinks that are poured well and priced right and decent irish fare. \r \r The crowd is a mixed bag of young and old that is not too rowdy and on Friday and Saturdays it can really be lively with many people dancing on the dance floor, playing pool or just hanging outside for a smoke. \r \r The Karaoke singers are often pretty good and old rock tunes will certainly get the crowd dancing!\r \r For good old time, drop by for a drink and a song. Pros: Drinks, Karaoke and Crowd. Cons: Kitchen closes at 9pm. more
