Pantera's favorite pie in St Louis 2/7/2009

I love pizza. I visit different cities and try their pie. I always come back home to Pantera;s. This location is exceptional. I must admit I do not frequent the lunch crowd during the week. My family and I try to get there once a month to take advantage of Sunday's free drinks with eat in. Service always rocks and quality always great. Keep it up and may long live Pantera's... more

Overpriced Buffet with nasty management 1/14/2009

Overpriced buffet. The owner or manager is nasty. We have been there more than once and have seen the management act in an unprofessional manner. The pizza is often cold, and there is little pizza on the buffet. \r The salad bar is also minimal at best. Don't bother eating here! more

Best Pizza in Town!!! 12/30/2008

First off, this is one of the best pizza places in the St. Charles county area hands down. This rude person giving the bad review is off his/her rocker. The owner is a ""stand up guy"" known in our community, I believe his name is Al. He always has an extra joke or greets you knowing your name if you have been there before. He will come over to your table and play with your kids while talking to you as well. He has given my kids quarters out of his cash register to ride the horse and play games. How could anyone bash this place? The pizza is most unique not having an STL or Chi-town copy style, it is ""Panteras PIZZA"" and you will never understand what I am talking about unless you try it. Then you will be here writing a review like myself because the Ofallon Panteras Pizza is big pizza taste with a small business feel. You know we are losing great places like this in America today, because it is not easy to do and stay in business when you are small. I would like to thank Al running a class act business for so long, I enjoy every bite!\r \r As for the buffet at lunch... It's good, it's convenient, it's quick. It's a buffet? what do you expect? You pick from what's out there, you get a cheap price to eat all you want. If you want more of exactly what you want served hot to your table, then don't be cheap, and buy a whole Pizza for yourself. \r My grandpa eats here every week like it's church for him, he has for decades. \r \r I would highly recommend, the next chance you have, go to Pantera's Pizza, bring the family, have a beer, watch the big-screen, meet with Al, let the kids play video games, ride the horse and play the crane game. If you see a guy there that looks like Corrado Soprano (Uncle Junior) with big rim glasses and black zip up boots eating pizza sitting by himself... That's my ""Gramps"", say hello to him, his name is ""Guy""!!!\r \r Thanks for listening, GREAT PLACE!!!\r \r Pros: Big taste form a great small business more

WORST BUFFET IN TOWN 10/30/2008

One slice of each pizza no replinishing was going on vey very slow , meat IN SAUCE WAS cold salad bar was awful! \r I asked for the taco pizza the owner was a nasty man said it would be out and it never came out. POORLY\r run owned and managed this location needs some help and some PIZZA!!!!!! I have been to other Panteras and they were great! IF YOU WANT TO WAIT FOREVER FOR THE PIZZA THAT NEVER COMES AND WASTE MONEY AND TIME GO TO THIS LOCATION. THE MANAGER WILL BE GLAD AND OWNER TO GIVE YOU A NASTY ANSWER! WE LEFT AND WENT TO LUNCH AFTER WE PAID AND GOT NOTHING EXCEPT EXCUSES! Cons: NO PIZZAS AT A BUFFET! more

Great pizza, great service, clean glasses for beer and glass pitchers too! It's right off the highway, too! 4/17/2008

My girlfriend and I drive all the way to O'fallon from St. Louis because we like this location so much. The owner is a friendly guy who remembers his patrons and comes out to make sure everything is ok. That's a special kind of customer service I don't often receive.. His staff is equally attentive - we usually don't have to get up to walk to the counter to ask for a go-box and they stop by several times to check on our drinks for us. The food quality is always, always, always the same - excellent. We haven't had a bad pizza from this place. When we were growing up we both loved Pantera's. Then they all disappeared. So when we found this one out in O'fallon, and drove out and found the quality and service to be great - we were hooked. If you haven't had Pantera's the crust is very clean and fresht asting. It has a pretzel like quality to it and the outer edges are delicious. Rich thick spicy sauce and their cheese is also rich and delicious and plentiful. The black olives (one of our favorites) are hearty and sweet. It's good. No joke.\r \r To make things even better - they have chilled glass pitchers and chilled glasses for beer and the glasses have been clean every time so far!@\r \r We love this pizza enought hat we drive almost 20 miles to get it. Writing this review has gotten me a little hungry - I'm craving it.\r \r \r Its true the pizza might cost a dollar or two more than the local chain restaurant, but give the guy a break - he's using REAL cheese and choice toppings - and his dough is never old and sour. I worked at pizza hut - they NEVER NEVER NEVER get those pan pizza pans clean - trust me! They are filthy! This place is CLEAN - you can tell by the taste of the crust.\r \r And the beer pitchers are some of the cheapest around - so it all balances out in the end. Pros: quality toppings, real cheese, good sauce recipe, clean fresh crust, attentive service, cheap beer, chilled glass pitchers Cons: Look at that list of ""pros"" - what more could you want from a pizza place? more

Really yummy pizza 2/15/2007

I really enjoyed this pizza. It is very flavorful and they do not skimp on toppings. I ordered what they called "" The Hunk"" and the pizza was huge!! My husband who can normally eat 5 pieces of pizza or more, ate 2 and was stuffed. LOTS of toppings. They offered us free soda while we waited and there were plenty of games for my child to play. Their prices are a little high compared to other places, but the food it very good. They also had very friendly employees. Pros: Good pizza, friendly service, free soda Cons: prices are on the high side more

Good taste but tough crust 1/1/2006

If you like the old Godfather's Pizza, you will like Pantera's. The flavor, the crust and the way it is made is the same. The pizza has a good flavor, but has one major drawback: unless you dine in, you will find the crust to be excessively tough. For some reason, a five minute carry out drive home turns the crust into a jaw muscle exercise. Although the flavor is still quite good, it is recommended to dine in. They offer free soda while waiting for carry outs. Pros: Good flavor, generous toppings Cons: tough crust, slightly high prices more
