""TESTAS RESTAURANT IN PALM BEACH IS A RIP-OFF""\r i understand testas is located in ritzy palm beach but the restaurant isnt as upscale as it claims to be. The restaurant is really old and outdated. It is april and it is 90 degress out and their was NO AIRCONDITIONING inside. everyone was crammed ontop of one another outside and it looks very uncomfortable. Not too mention I saw the staff memebers recycling KETCHUP bottless and pouring OLD ketchup bottles into NEW ones how GROOSE!! THE FOOD IS OVERPRICED. i will not be stepping foot into that TESTAS restaurant again\r more

Horrible. Horrible. With high ratings, we decided to go to Testas. What a mistake. We arrived just after 6pm on a Sunday night. The restaurant has a reduced price deal going in prior to 6pm and the restaurant was almost filled - with the over 70 crowd. Not a big deal. We were seated quickly. It took a while for our server to arrive. We should have known right there that we were going to get bad service. And we did. I have voted on around 220 different restaurants at this point here on Urbanspoon and the service we were about to get was the second worst ever experienced. When the server finally arrived, we gave her our drink and food order. Time passes. Finally, our kids get their chocolate milk. And our dinner rolls arrive - along with a very small portion of butter that would only be enough for two rolls at most. At this point we noticed that we only had two sets of silverware and only two napkins for four people. How nice. Time passes and server nowhere to be seen. And still no soft drinks or water for the adults. We flag down a busboy for silverware and napkins. More time passes. Still no server. Finally she shows up with salads. We are approximately at 6:30. The salads were pedestrian and were poor. The Caesar salad shows up with no cheese. The house salad was sparse on everything but lettuce. The salads came with about a tablespoon of dressing. Salads sucked pure and simple. About 40 minutes in, the kids get their pasta. And they finish eating in about 20 minutes. Still no food for the adults. After about an hour and fifteen minutes, our food finally shows up. One entree was lukewarm. At that point, we asked for the check and to have our food packed up to go. Time passes. Waited around 10 minutes to receive our check. On the way out, the owner asked how our meal was. We said it took so long that we were not able to eat it. Owner shrugged, turned and walked away and did not offer an apology. My advice: GO ELSEWHERE!! more

Testas is one of those old time places that you just love to stumble into, it reeks of quaint, seashore, casual dining.\r \r We went for breakfast and the food was solid. I had corn beef hash with poached eggs on top and my wife had a waffle with scrambled on the side.\r \r The waffle was very thin (not my favorite) but cooked beautifully. That along with real whipped butter and Wisconsin maple syrup more than made up for the thinness.\r \r We were there in the summer, and breakfast cost us around $30 including Mimosa & Bloody Mary's, though I suspect 'in season' that number is considerably higher.\r \r All in all, a very nice spot if you get bored with The Breakers breakfast like we did. more

I always look forward to stopping by Testa's when coming from up north to my Stuart, Fl home, or returning and having lunch before the flight. I even drive down some evenings for dinner. The staff could not be nicer. The food is always very good, prices are surpisingly low considering the location. A great place to people watch. And the history....if those walls could talk! I like that it's not changed in all these years, and you walk in and feel like you are home. more
