Like Eating In Nonna's Kitchen 3/22/2011

Only the best Italian restaurant food that I have ever eaten. The owner/chef Phil created dishes that are not on the menu simply per our personal request. If you find yourself in The Woodland's area, you can skip those pricey restaurants w/ the ""foo-foo"" servings & treat yourself to delectable plates at ridiculously reasonable prices. more

Good! 3/2/2011

My husband & I visited Pallotta's for the first time last week, and the food was really good! We came during happy hour, we each enjoyed a nice glass of the house Merlot, and we ordered the fried cheese for an app. It was really good & the sauce served with it was great. I ordered the skinny Margarita pizza (which I really liked- and had plenty left for dinner the next day), and my husband ordered chicken parm, his standby. He also really enjoyed it. The waiter we had was great & very attentive. My main reason for not giving a 5th star is that we had a coupon from My Daily Deals that we paid $15 for to get $30 worth of food. Well- we realized as it was time to pay that it was expired by about 2 weeks. We asked if the manager would be willing to honor it anyway, and she said no. That was disappointing to say the least- most companies would at least honor the $15 that we paid for the coupon to begin with. It's not generally a good sign when management is that strict on a coupon- ESPECIALLY one that was actually paid for & not just given out. So, other than the uptight manager, the waiter was great & the food was really good also! more

Stick with the pastas 6/26/2006

I had been to Pallotta's several times before and wanted to try something different. Big mistake. The salmon was overcooked and very dry. The tomato basil soup should be renamed garlic-pepper soup, and I am not sure why they put the cold grated parmesan on the pasta. Pros: Pasta Cons: Anything other than pasta more

The lasagna is amazing! 6/11/2006

I'm telling you, just try the lasagna! I went Saturday evening with some others who had already visitied and it was a nice surprise. This restaurant is very clean and cozy. The staff is very professinal, too. We had 7 people in our party and still received our orders quickly. Two people got a pizza that was very good, too. We will be visiting again very soon. more

Palotta's is great and Jackie Tan (our waitress) is even better! She always greets us with a big smile and is very attentive. My husband and I would not dine there every Saturday night if the food was not as good as it is! We think they have the freshest salads in town. You need to try the 50-50 spaghetti dish(spicy). Try the baked ziti. Even their hamburger on a roll is good. Happy eating, centerc Pros: casual, inexpensive, welcoming employees more

Love it, Love it, Love it! 5/19/2005

Outstanding Service 7/18/2004

We ordered the fried ravioli appetizer and it was wonderful...stuffed with jalepeno cream cheese and served with crunchy, buttery garlic bread...the servings were huge. I chose a red wine that I had discovered while visiting Rome, Italy....this was the first time I had seen it on a menu here in Houston...and I have dined at many upscale Italian eateries around the Houston area. The food, when served was perfect...salads crisp and cold, entrees steaming hot and not overcooked. ""To Go"" boxes were packed by our server in the kitchen and labled....packed with more fresh, hot garlic bread to take home. The homemade Raspberry Chocolate Mousse Tiramisu rivaled anything made in Italy. Perfect for sharing. The service was better than most of the upscale downtown and Galleria eateries... I would highly recommend Pallotta's...With wine and appetizer and entree's our tab came to about $80. Worth every penny.... Pros: Service, Food Quality, Wine List more

""Our Place"" 10/29/2003

My husband and I were introduced to Pallotta's when our realtor took us there to celebrate the closing of our new house! Which lucky for us, is only a couple of minutes away! We chose to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary there recently. On a Monday night, we sat at a table in the bar, for a quieter, more intimate experiance. Our food, as usual was wonderful, their wine list is very good, and the staff is very attentive. The prices are reasonable, the portions generous. Favs? The tomato basil soup, the pizza appetizers, and the turtle and blueberry cheescakes! Pros: good parking, nice atmosphere, romantic Cons: can get a little loud, in the main dining , room more

Enjoyable dining! 9/26/2002

I really like Pallota's. The food is more zesty and much more satisfying that anything from the Olive Garden. Pallota's atmosphere is classy but not snooty - it has somewhat of a ""preppy-casual"" look. Overall, I think this is a wonderful place to dine - it helps that I live only a few minutes away, but I would be willing to drive across town to eat there. Pros: Zesty flavors!, location, parking more

Good Italian at Reasonable Prices 7/2/2002

The food is pretty good, but the salads and dressings leave a lot to be desired. The atmosphere is nice too. The prices are reasonable. $10 per person is about the low end of what you can get without alcohol. The restaurant is crowded on weekend nights, so go early or plan to wait. more
