They've been around since 1892. yet their time is past. Ellensburg is changing and they are hostile to people who just plain look or sound different. Sometimes it's just connecting with some one who is affiliated with the restaurant, regarding a community activity, as refereed by just another human to human at another store. No go. All that small town stuff. Instead of facilitating the initial contact, as they are a place where others are present, "those people" are given the "go away." No community building there. More like walls. I saw the "club" online . Figures. I won't eat there. I don't need the give them a child portion, charge for an adult portion cheating more

The Palace Cafe 8/20/2005

The Palace Cafe is a very nice dinner experience. At the Palace, they serve salads, pasta, steak, sandwiches,and many other things. The interior of the Palace us dark brown with a lot of old pictures and antique looking furniture. The staff is very friendly and are very kind and fun to be around. The one thing that isn't great about the Palace is the prices. They tend to be a little higher than other restaurants, but overall, it is worth it and a great place to eat. more

Expensive but good atmosphere 8/14/2005

Take your parents here when they come to visit you in college. The atmosphere is very nice. It is dark with dark wood booths and some nice things to look at. I would recommend this to people who are going on a date and who wish to have some privacy (and maybe stay in the dark). The menu is not as large as I would have hoped and wasn't as good for the price as I had expected. Three out of four stars for a good date place. more
