My favorite Chinese restaurant is Palace of Wong. 12/29/2010

This Rockville Center restaurant is a favorite of ours due to the consistent high quality of everything we've ordered there. My favorite dishes are chicken and broccoli and chicken lo mein. My husband's favorites are pepper steak and onions and shrimp with lobster sauce. Sometimes we dine in; other times we order take-out. Even my mother-in-law who is very critical of restaurants had no complaints when we took her here. The host at the register is always personable. He is very accomodating if you have food preferences and would like something left out of a dish. The old-fashioned decor creates a very pleasant atmosphere. They do not have their own parking lot but offer the convenience of valet parking. We always look forward to our next visit to Palace of Wong. more

Me and the husband were in the mood for some exotic chinese cuisine so we went to Palace of Wong on Sunrise Highway for dinner. And we're both glad we did! We had a great time. The atmosphere is romantic and comfortable, the waitors are friendly, the prices are affordable, big portions, and best of all the food was amazing. Hubby loved his sesame chicken dish, and I couldnt get over how good my Hawaiian Delight dish was, served in a ""pineapple boat"" and complete with an umbrella too!! Not to mention we especially loved the complimentary noodles with duck-sauce and hot tea. And I loved my Strawberry Pina Colada drink. We cant wait to go back!! Pros: Great Food, Big Portions, Great Atmosphere, Good Value Cons: Parking might be tough to find but worth it more

Hardly a palace 11/26/2004

This is as bad as Chinese food gets. My chicken in garlic sauce was starchy and flavorless. The low mein was salty and bland. Even the won ton soup lacked. The wait staff seemed uncomfortable and irritated. One kept pacing back and forth past our table which made us a bit nervous. Then when we were finished after only taking a few bites, we were asked very sternly if we wanted desert... uh, no. Only positive note was that it was cheap.
