I took my daughter in to get her lip piercing changed - she was nervous and they were really great with her. He explained everything that he was doing and told her what her options were. He was willing to spend the time with her that she needed to get comfortable. The price wasn't really all that important to me - I was more interested in service - but the price was extremely reasonable. I would recommend this shop for tattoos and piercings. First of all I've been going to this shop for 3 years so far and I've had nothing but the best treatment. I'm shocked to hear the negative feedback. From my experience It seems when people that are not educated about this industry and art are the ones who seem most dissatisfied and it's not wise to be upset at the fact that when you do not know what you are talking about you run and assume you do. I went in on Saturday 4/3/2010.. paid $220 for a piece on my upper back.. Graphic artist (Richie) is not as professional as he seems. He doesn't pay attention to what your asking for, doesn't communicate well with Chino (the tattoo artist)..Chino is into himself, and thinks he can do no wrong. I asked for thick lettering, and thats not what I got. yes I should of said something before I left, but I was wrong to assume that they are a respectable shop and they would have no problem doing touch ups on there work. When I asked to get back in, I was disrespected.. basically told that what I got is what I get unless i want to pay more.. I would not send any friends or family here. My step daughter wanted her belly button pierced, but she was scared. She had been to a couple other places but ""chickened out""...so, we went to Painful Thoughts. We just walked in without an appointment. The staff made her feel very comfortable. They explained to her what they were going to do, and let her take her time to pick out her jewelry. The procedure itself was a great experience. She hardly felt anything but a little pinch. They were very knowledgeable and educated us on other piercings and tattoos. it was a very relaxed atmosphere.
