Best

The brownie hot fudge sundae was fabulous! My hubby and oldest daughter had them for their dinner...but be aware...it has nuts.

Worst

The atmosphere is not even close to Friday's Front Row or JB's You can really get into the game at these places, unlike Orlando Ale House.

Orlando night time 8/24/2002

Casual, reasonable, fun place to drink. I don't drink beer but I like their idea of "$1" beers. You will enjoy there even if you don't watch sports. Good for taking your guests from other countries or other states just to have inexpensive but amusing time in Orlando. I like their large O-shaped bar counter. They have the pools also. more

F-U-N!!! 7/22/2002

The Ale House is a ton of fun! The perfect place to get together with friends and coworkers after your work day is done! Have a few drinks and some appetizers--the food is awesome!! It's almost impossible to have a bad time here. The music is pumpin', and for the sports nuts there is a tv screen everywhere you turn! It's worth the wait to have great food and beverages and hang out and have just plain fun!! Pros: affordable, upbeat Cons: long waits, parking more

Please go Travel !!! 7/19/2002

I can't believe that the Orlando Ale House made it on the list for good seafood. Hello....first of all it is a bar chain. Second of all, those of you who would even consider its seafood to be fresh obviously have always lived in the middle of the state. Before giving this place a high rating, I beg you to go and travel...to the coast !!!! more

Editorial
  • The Scene
The Ale House is one of the state's mini-chains. All share the same basic menu, decor and commitment to satisfying, far-from-fancy food. The decor is reminiscent of a sports bar, with bench-like seats and thick wooden tables. TVs are hung throughout, although the noise level usually remains tolerable.

    The Food
Start off with the deep-fried conch fritters, a taste of Key West. The Ale House Combo--a platter of potato skins, conch fritters, fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks and sauces--feeds a crowd. Baby back ribs are generously portioned, fall-off-the-bone tender and smothered in a tangy sauce. Another good bet for dinner is the blackened prime-rib sandwich. The burgers are big and juicy. The brownie hot fudge sundae is the star of the small dessert menu.
