On The Border Mexican Grill

My son and I went here today. I have never written a review but people should know about this place. We ordered chicken empanadas. They were so nasty. Sour and pasty all at once. Nothing short of cheese whiz. We took one bite and sent them back. Then came the beef buritos. The tortilla tasted like paper towels and the meat was dry and aweful. We had to leave the food was so disgusting. The little we ate tasted like it came straight from the microwave. When we got home we both had diarrhea. more

went to eat, paid for with Visa, next day someone was trying to buy items with the card number. Called manager to let him know that something may be going on with one of his employees. He was VERY rude and told us there is no way it was one of his employees because they have a strict policy. We explained that not everyone follows policy, but he continued to be very rude and dismissive. will never eat there again. more

Food was mediocre but expensive. I had the Mahi-Mahi Tacos (?)... the fish was tasty but very scarce. The tortillas were industrial-grade, not restaurant quality. My wife ordered a salad which was mostly lettuce, little else, and no salad dressing. We asked for salad dressing and the waitress looked at her as if she was asking for something unusual. My friend's entree was overly spicy, as was the salsa, which we had to ask separately when they finally brought the chips. We've got better food, and better service, when we went South of the border ... in Mexico. Here? Never again! more

We waited for a looooong time - finally got appetizer. Walked around - not that busy. Waited a loooong time and asked to speak to a manager. Manager never came. We left. Appetizer was good but service was the WORST I have ever had. It took a long time for the place to open - takes even longer to get your food. Will not return. more

Food was cold waitress was rude and service was awful! I mentioned my displeasure with her service and she didn't even apologize. Don't go to this restaurant oh and btw there were only two tables with customers including ours, so it being packed and busy was not an excuse. She compt us one drink, an apology would have been much better! more

Me and My Man went to on the border. The atmosphere was nice. However the waiter, she was unbelievable. She ignored me the whole time and kept flirting with my man. She didn't refill my beverage when it was empty but she would take my man's without even asking him. She paid more attention to him, rather than the both of us. Constantly flirting and she didn't know when to stop. On top of that you guys ran out of dessert! What happened did you guys forget to pick them up at costco?? YOUR FOOD WAS DISGUSTING. MY MAN THOUGHT HIS BURRITO WAS FROM THE GARBAGE. MY QUESIDILLAS WERE COLD! SOUP DISGUSTING! DISH WATER TASTE BETTER THAN THAT!! YOU GUYS SUCK!!!\r \r I went to the one on southern in the costco plaza 33411. Thought it'd be a delightful place but your staff is extremely unprofessional. I understand she probably did it for the tip, but I am a good tipper, if she would have only had respect for me and my man I would have given her more than .68 cents!!!\r \r THANK YOU\r I WILL NEVER GO TO ANY OF YOUR RESTAURANTS AGAIN!\r \r Her name was LINDSAY. more

It took a while for the restaurant to open up but it was worth the wait. We have been there 4 times since then and have been happy with the food. The food was consistent, margaritas were strong and everybody was happy. Need I say more? more

What a terrible dining experience!! Nightmare all around, not worth it for just ok food. Half of our parties received their dinner 25 minutes after the other half was served. Our 20 minute wait for a table turned into an hour because they gave away our table to another party, even though we had been given a numbered pager. These guys need to get their act together. The food isn't good enough to overcome the terrible treatment. Save yourself the trouble and skip this place. more
