This place used to be good. I have enjoyed many nights there. It seems when the younger kids are working the bar, they treat their group of friends pretty good. If you are not in their group ( aka being of the older crowd), well, just leave. You wont get good service. Try it if you dont believe me. Watch how they turn up the juke box really loud. This is to discourage you from being there. Even if there is only a few of them in the bars. 5 to be exact last time I we where there. To bad more

Excellent Experiences 9/21/2010

We've been to O'Brien's many times, both lunch and dinner and have had a great experience with service and food each and every time. I've tried several menu items, great burgers and steak...the fish and chips are the best I've ever had and even though I'm not a huge corned beef fan I tried the Rueben and it was awesome! We've enjoyed the Back Patio where live music plays many times. It's too bad a neighbor has to complain on a restaurant review board about noise. We live close to Downtown Batavia and can hear music from Festivals, Charlie Foxs, O'Brien's and also fireworks from Kane County Cougar stadium. Sound bounces, it's a river town for goodness sakes. Bad for Neighbors 6/26/2010

Had to give O'Brien's one star because no star was not an option. THis bar has treated its neighbors poorly every time they have outdoor bands. Families who live around the pub have their weekends ruined because of the noise and lost nights of sleep. Please do not visit O'Briends. more

O'Brien's Pub and Grill 10/27/2007

We had dinner at O'Brien's, and I had to share this experience. The food was excellent my husband had the Lamb stew and I had the corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef melts in your mouth. The prices are very reasonable and the service, our waiter was most attentive and even the bus boy was assuring us the utmost hospitality. The bar area is like a cheers bar our friends that ate with us got there 15 minutes before us and they raved on how the bartender made them feel like family. O'Brien's is the place for us and I highly recommend it for everyone. more

O'brien's Pub and Grill 12/31/2005

i was unhappy with the food and service that we received at this restaurant. our food did not come out at all as we ordered it. and the waiter could see that it wasn't right, but brought it out anyway. after we pointed out that it was incorrect, we were asked if we wanted it taken back to the kitchen. well, of course we did. more
