Nuevo Acapulco

I have been going to Nuevo Acapulco for YEARS, and find it to be the best Mexican restaurant in Cleveland. Don't be fooled by the outside! This place has amazing food at reasonable prices. Just check out all the 'celebrities' on the wall when you walk in that have great things to say about N.A! Oh, and the fajitas are to die for! Pros: Delicious food, excellent prices Cons: n/a more

I have been here a lot of times and will definately return again. From their homemade salsa to their fajitas everything is just the best! Not to forget the margaritas! YUM YUM! The only thing I don't like is sometimes when their really busy you have to park behind the building and it's next to a pretty seedy looking motel and I'm a bit of a baby when it comes to my cars. Went to the Nuevo Acupulco in Berea last night after all the rave reviews. The food was good, although everyone saying this place has the best margaritas, should really measure theirs against the best in the tri-county area, Mariachis Coco in Northfield. Five dollars on most nights for their 26 oz margaritas sweeps away the competition in price and taste. Their food prices are better too. more

I have been going there for many years. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that place. Besides the food, my favorite beverage is a CADILLAC MARGARITA...ohmygod. I have to say that we shared a pitcher once in the bar area....not as great as individual glasses. They hook you up individually!!! I have never had a bad experience. The food has always been great. The service is excellent. The prices are right. I have been to quite a few Mexican Restaurants in Northeast Ohio. Nuevo Acapulco is still my favorite one after all these years. I never turn down any opportunity to feast there...and of course, with the Cadillac Margarita. YUMMMMM!! My mom (66 years old) as well as all my siblings always look forward to going there as opposed to any other restaurant. I could eat just the salsa and chips alone because they are so good and made from scratch. I do get them to go when I have a craving for them. If you like the salsa really hot, ask for the green salsa. WOW! My mouth is watering thinking about it. I have several friends who I have turned on to that place and they love it as well. Nuevo is probably the best mexican food you will find in the Cleveland area. As someone who loves hot & spicy tex/mex, authentic mexican, this is thumbs up bar none the best around. As for ""ocho"" who thought this food was terrible, all I can say is you must not have the right restaurant! THIS IS NO TACO BELL with table cloths either. I have tried a variety of items from the menu and never had a bad dish. I love Mexican food. My husband is from Mexico. We have been to Mexico, and I have eaten in several places there. We I walked into Nuevo Acapulco and saw the sings saying best Mexican in Cleveland we were in for a treat. We were wrong. The food was awful. We didn't eat. It was more like Chi Chi's than authentic Mexican. I would eat at Chipotle before I would eat there again. more

Nuevo Acapulco is an amazing restaurant. The atmosphere is very ""mexican restaurant""-ish, and the food is delicious. The staff is always very friendly and fast. \r \r The following is what I order:\r Carne Asada- Slices of Skirt steak in a burrito w/ grilled onions. You won't taste a better burrito anywhere.\r White Queso Dip- goes great with the free chips & salsa.\r Strawberry Margarita- frozen margarita with REAL strawberry chunks. Gets you drunk about halfway through :-) \r \r One thing I can't recommend is the take out service. They wrap EVERYTHING in foil and it sticks to the food. Plus, if you order something crispy like a taco, it is usually mushy by the time it gets home. I was born and raised in southern California and lived in Southern Texas before moving to Ohio. When I first was exposed to Nuevo Acapulco, I was floored by the quality (and quantity) of the food there. I travel internationally for work and spend several weeks a year in different parts of Mexico and to this day, nothing compares to Nuevo Acapulco. Highly Recommended! Nuevo Acapulco is the BEST Mexican Restaurant in Ohio! I have been dining there for the past 9 years. The food is always excellent, the atmosphere is charming, and the service is GREAT. The owner of the restaurant makes everyone feel like family. I can't say enough good things about this place. :) Other restaurants should take example. Food was great overall. Salsa was saucy and now puree like usually you get. It was OK. I had the Tacos al Carbon and they were good. A little salty, but good flavors. My manger had the combo fajitas and he liked the flavors a lot. Like I said , thanks. The location might throw you off, but just go right in and enjoy. Good Food. I will be back. more

I've been going there ever since I found it, about 8 years ago. I have'nt found any other Mexican place that compares. A couple of my favorite dishes are the Tacos Carbon (steak) and the Nachos with ground meat. But I could go there and order almost anything off the menu and be happy. I can almost bet you will have leftovers to take home, because they give you so much. The prices are great, their Salsa is better than excellent. We make a trip out there just for Salsa and chips to take home. But If you one who likes jar Salsa then I suggest going to Chi Chi's or somewhere else cause this place isn't for you. But is you like Homemade, with all the seasonings including cilantro, please try this place. Thats nice, now I'm hungry for Nuevo. See you there. I'm from Texas and have had some of the best mexican food there. Out of all the mexican restaurants I've been to here in Cleveland, Nuevo is absolutely the best. The food is awesome and the staff is great! They are always friendly and great service is the norm. There's something about their margaritas that keeps everyone going back for more. Everyone I know loves Nuevo and I'm always taking new people there (or recommending it) to try it out. They always agree it's the best! It is worth the wait in line, by the way. This place overall is really good. It's nice and cheap, and the taste is way better than Chi-Chi's. The portions are big enough to take home leftovers, unless you're like me and lack self control. :-) To me, the food is really good, except for one thing, it's not spicy enough. That's my own personal taste, though. One fave dish of mine I recommend is the Chorizos Con Huevos (Eggs and Suasage with tortillas).
