they made changes, and NOT for the better 6/15/2010

I was with this office for my first pregnancy several years ago and had a wonderful experience! Attentive doctors and nurses, and always left feeling reassured. \r They have recently made changes, been taken over by the hospital (CMC Northeast), and lost and gained some staff. The hospital has set ""policies"" that just seem silly.. such as not doing fundal height measurements until 18-22 weeks. It only takes about 30 seconds.. why even make it a ""policy"" to not start until then anyway?? With my first child, because of the fundal measurements being done right from 8 weeks they were able to identify extra fluid and advise me of precautions to take and options I had. \r I'm more than halfway through my second pregnancy and they have YET to put a hand on me! Its like drive-through doctor's appointments. Look elsewhere!!!!! Pros: its close to the hospital Cons: everything! more

I have used this office for 17 years, delivered 2 children and allways had the greatest of trust in them. Not any longer! I am 37 weeks with my 3rd Pregnacy and im 37 years old, i am a high risk. I called this office for 3 days before i got a return call and the wanted me there in 5 minutes! I expressed to them I lived 30 Minutes away and they told me to be there ASAP I arrived 25 minutes later and they told me I had Missed my appt go to the Hospital- I go to the L&D unit at the hospital wher i was told i just needed to drink water and prop my feet up. Worst medical advice I have ever had. I was taken off my feet and treated by another doctor from another office who found a problem within the first 5 minutes of my exam- I could have gone into labor he said! This office is a complete mess the staff is unwelcoming and rude. They make you feel as if you are a burden and are impolite. I wouldnt Deliver a litter of cats at this office. more

not what it use to be 5/6/2009

I have been going to Northeast OBGYN for 13 yrs. My perferred doctor Dr. Long recently opened his own practice and left this office. I recieved a letter stating this information. I was due for my annual and thought I would just go to see the other doctors (I have had two kids and seen every doctor in 13 yrs) Needless to say all the staff that had been there in 13 yrs went with Dr Long all new staff was hired. The lab worker didn't show up so all results had to be waited for (1-2 weeks) My doctor who i saw started in March. She asked me tons of questions that all the answers to were in my chart. I'm talking cancer screening information she didn't even know of. (my chart there looks like a dictionary in 13 yrs) She knew absolutly nothing about me or any of my information. Plus when I first went back for my weight and BP she was complaining about having to do OBGYN work ups. HELLO you are a OBGYN. it's like saying I hate kids I want to be a teacher. I recommend anyone looking for a OBGYN not to go here anywhere but here. From pervious experience look up Dr. Long. \r PS The staff currently working here do have there resumes out to other doctors offices due to the current working conditions at this office. The nurse said so herself. \r \r Hope you will take my advice! Pros: Had been going there for 13 yrs (comfortable) Cons: Staff shortage and all new staff that is there is unhappy more
