great daycare/preschool 4/10/2009

My daughter, age 9 now, attended North Georgia Kids academy for daycare from age 2-4, then preschool at age 5. They were great with the kids and I felt they truly cared for my daughter. She loved the teachers and learned alot while she was there. I would recommend this daycare for new mothers and the preschool for older children. more

Great Center 1/29/2009

I love this center. I had my 2 children in Discovery Point. I moved them for several reasons. The teachers are always nice and professional. The director(s) are always helpful. They have a neat water park for the summer time and they have a salt-water fish tank that the kid's love to see in the mornings. It's away from bad traffic areas but still easy to get to behind the outlet mall. Pros: Becky, Susan and the teachers Cons: No Drop-in Programs more

Has Been Better 7/31/2008

North GA Kids Academy has gone done hill. It started before Becky. I don't think she is to blame. I think she came into a bad situation and can't turn it around. My 2 sons age 5 & 7 have gone there for just over a year. I am in the process of moving them. The teachers do not seem to communicate and they cannot keep track of things my child brings to school (for example his flip flops that he has to have to participate in Water Park Day). I have heard a teacher on several occassions yelling at the kids. I was told once that my sons shoes are on the water park playground. When I went out there I was horrified at the condition of that particular area. There was a huge mud puddle with toys (chairs, tables etc) thrown in the puddle. When I have wathced the children playing outside the teachers are standing off to the side in the shade and not paying attention to what the children are doing. Some of the teachers are very nice and seem to enjoy what they do while others you can tell hate it. My youngest attended Pre-K there are it was great. Teachers were wonderful. I think when it came to summertime they just couldn't find good help or didn't try hard enough. I have spoken with Becky about the issues and she is trying but I thinks it is too late. I pray she can get good help. It was such a good Christian place at one. Cons: Teachers more

My son loves this place!!! 7/30/2008

I am very pleased with all the staff at North Georgia Kids Academy. They have an excellent faith based curriculum. All the staff members I have come in contact with are always very pleasant. I am 100% satisfied with the care my child receives here! My son loves his teacher and she makes him feel very loved in return. He loves going to school now. My son cried everyday on the way to his old school. Now he gets up eager to start his day and get to school. I couldn?t be happier!!! Pros: The staff is great! Cons: Nothing more

Serious decline in all areas 7/23/2008

Our child has been attending North Ga Kids Academy, in Dawsonville, for nearly 2 years. We were veyu satisfied with the care she received, the center, staff, UNTIL Director Patti left and Becky came. Everything has gone downhill in a hurry since Becky became director. The center is dirty, toilets constantly overflow, children are not cleaned up, customer service does not exist. They cannot keep any good staff. Turnover has been unbelievable in the 3 months Becky has been Director. It is obvious that staff are miserable. We are moving our child asap. If you are looking for quality, clean, good childcare, do NOT use North Ga Kids Academy at this time. We can only hope a new Director will soon take Becky's place, and things can start to improve. Cons: Director Becky, high turnover rate, lack of customer service, lack of cleanliness more

bad policys 5/23/2007

My son got lice here and later I found out that it is their policy not to tell the parents if these things happen. There were two other kids there that had it two weeks prior and they didn't let any of the parents know about this. I found out and questioned it and one of the directors admitted to the two other kids having lice and asked me who told me. I know one out of the two had contact with my son. Pros: They have bible verses on the wall Cons: You won't know if there is a communicational illness in contact with your child more
