DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! 3/6/2012

Do not go here! Everything everyone wrote is true! All they want is your money! I graduated with a 4.0 as student mentor and have turned in over 60 resumes and have only received one call! This school is a scam! All the job placement department does is give you some websites to visit. And yes they do make you sign paperwork so you don't sue them! A total scam! -5 stars! more

No. Don't do it!!!!! 1/6/2012

Everything posted by others is true.... And worse. They ended up duplicating my loans like they did many others. 10k worth of schooling, I ended up having to pay out nearly 30k. Well, it's on my credit report and being taken out of my tax refunds. Other students had duplicate loans up to 50k. Someone high up in that school is laundring money. I wish there was a lawyer that would take this heathenic school on!! Darn,,,,, Didn't want to give a star. more

STALKERS 9/29/2011

Okay so I signed up for a program in December of 2010 and had to drop out before the program even started in late January. I had a family thing going on and they were very very very rude about me having to leave. After that I received numbers of phone calls asking me stupid questions like 'What do you think you are going to do in life without an education?' 'Do you see yourself getting anywhere without having a degree?' and ect. It is now September of 2011 and I still am getting phone calls after I asked them to stop calling the very first time in January. They only care about getting your money! I am very disappointed in this school and their staff! They should learn to care about future and current students and not harass them on a weekly bases like I am being now. Don't waste your time or money here! more

horrible mistake! 12/2/2009

I usually do not like to write a bad review, this my actually be my first. I am a 4 year graduate from NCE Phlebotomy/Lab Assistant/EKG Program. First of all, the education you receive from here is NOT worth it. I must hand it to them, they are smooth recruiters. Part of their sales pitch was pointing out to me over and over again that I received the highest amount possible in grants and that I only needed to take out $10,000 in student loans! Since then I've run into people who have paid thousands of dollars less and I am NO better off than them in their so called career. Yes, grant it...there aren't too many schools around that offer this, but still. They make a big deal how you receive training in not only Phlebotomy, but Lab Assistant and EKG Technician as well. Again, I know of other Phlebotomists who went to a different school for THOUSANDS LESS with only Phlebotomy training and I'm no better off than them. When I look for a job, no one cares I have the added Lab/EKG training. ""Certified"" EKG Techs get the EKG positions. NCE will tell you that you do not need to be a ""Certified"" EKG Tech, but in the REAL world .....you DO. OK, this is where it really gets good. My externship was from **ll! I kid you not. I was placed out at a location where I was physically attacked by an employee who was VERY upset with me for only being able to stick 70% of my patients my first few days. She was furious with me that I could not keep up with the 10-20 year veterans that were sticking nearly and over 100 patients a piece per day. She was so called written up and I HAD to continue my training or risk having to wait 9+ months for replacement. Of course this was all documented by NCE, but they did not care. Now, after 4 years I am coming to them for their lifetime job placement assistance and I can't even get a hold of anyone in that department and they won't return my calls. Trust me, like the previous commenter, do your homework. A friend of mine received her Phlebotomy training in the Bay Area and it was only 2-3 months long and only $2,000-3,000 and she's the one in a MUCH better job situation. Also, a lot of people from my class had to go out on their own and find their own externship. For the price that you pay, you should not have to find your own externship.... If you are thinking about becoming a Phlebotomist, again do your homework. There is FIERCE competition out there...FIERCE!!! It really can come down to who you know, such as a family member or friend...in order to really get your foot in the door at a good company, as a Phlebotomist. :-( Cons: everything more

if there where negative stars it would get -5 10/21/2008

If you're considering enrolling at NCE I hope my input will help you reconsider. NCE is a total sham. they claim to get you in and out in 7months and thats total lie their ""JOB PLACEMENT"" Consist of people behind a desk going on craigslist and printing out postings for you to apply at. And don't make a mistake of telling anyone in the placement dept. if you have a potential lead on a job cause that same day they will post it for everyone else to apply to as well. After completing the course you are supposed to get you externship within 1 wk. but people have ended up waiting as long as 9mos. after their last mod and still dont have an extern. the instructors are poorly trained ""professionals"" with minimum experience in the field. they teach you all these universal precautions in class then they send students out to these horrible facilities that are dirty and corrupt. If you try and tell your teacher about it they'll just tell you to chin it up its only for 1month and tell you to ignore what u see even if you know its wrong. if you have a problem they wont help you. if you complain about not having an externship they'll keep you on the bottom of the list. and if you try to complain to the DEAN she'll probably slam the door in your face. They rell you in with false hopes of success then they hold you back from reaching you goal. OH YEAH when you do sign you papers for enrollment they will also make you sign a waiver of arbitration. basically meaning that if you have issues with them you cannot take them to court, you have to settle it in school via the school chairs. its all b.s. i tell ya.... so i try my hardest to make sure if i see them touring anyone around campus who potentially want to enroll, that i tell them straight up to seek another school like MTI or HEALD or just anywhere more reputable. Do your homework on this school. Pros: nothing at all Cons: everything you could think of more
