Mumma Appliances

My GE Profile washing machine was not working well. I thought it just wasn't draining, and called Mumma's. The next day, their service technician came out and said the motor had died, and that the repair would be only $100 less than then cost of a new machine. I went into Mumma's todayat 9:03, and by 11:09 am (thanks to a cancellation on their delivery schedule which bumped delivery from 1 pm to 1040 am), it had been ordered, paid for, delivered, installed, and the old machine hauled away. This is the 8th appliance I have bought from Mumma's in the past 12 years, and I so appreciate the helpful, knowledgeable, capable family team that focuses on customer needs, and the quality of their products. When we renovated our kitchen 5 years ago, and I needed new appliances, I visited Lowe's, Home Depot, and other large chains, did online research, and went to Mumma's with my list, and asked them what they could do for me. They came within $50 of my best price for all appliances from another source, and did free delivery and installation, which was wonderful. When I have needed appliances repaired, they have always worked me into their schedule within a day or two, and the repairs have been accomplished quickly. They have directed me to the best sources for parts (like water filters for our refrigerator that they don't keep in stock, and have tried to save us time and expense on replacing broken knobs on a dryer. I appreciate their efforts to do their best for us. I am grateful for this locally owned business, and the blessing it has been for our family. more

We used Mumma's for major appliance purchases over the past 20 years but this year when I needed a chest freezer, their price was $40 higher than MSRP (17% higher) and $80 higher than the lowest price around (42%). On top of that, I received very rude service from all but one person I spoke to there. I highly recommend that you shop elsewhere. more

Shop around and you will find the same appliance at a much cheaper cost. Had bought several appliances here but the lack of service when issues arose in a washer 2 years after purchase has turned me off forever. Thought even though their prices were higher they would be more responsive to issues boy was I wrong. Save yourself some money on the purchase and go elsewhere !! more

I went to Mumma's to purchase a microwave based on my contractor's recommendation. We were disappointed. They offered a price +28% above GE's MSRP. When we inquired why their price was higher than the manufacturer's MSRP they couldn't provide any explanation and encouraged us to shop around. So, we did and found the same model priced 33% lower at two other stores. When we called back to negotiate, we weren't offered a better deal and no one tried to convince us to keep our order based upon better service or Mumma being a family-owned business, instead, we were told in a hostile and aggressive manner, "so much for loyalty." To that I say, "so much for customer service." more

Mumma's is a great family business. They are very helpful and friendly and are reasonably priced! When we were looking for a refrigerator last year we did a lot of shopping around, but everyone had to order the size we needed, and it would be at least 3 weeks. We decided to stop at Mumma's since we figured if we were waiting anyhow we would rather stop there, and much to our surprise they had what we needed in stock and at a slightly better price then the chain stores!! Plus, the delivered it the very next day (A Saturday morning!) for free!! more

Mumma Appliances is an ok place to go for appliances. The service is pretty laid back and not as helpful as other places I have been too. I have had some problems with appliances purchased from Mumma’s, but that isn’t really their fault – it is the manufacturers. Their prices are competitive, their show room is pretty large, and they do carry brand names. more
