Sat for4 hours for an oil change because they were busy fixing there own vehicle's more

Bad business! I went in for an oil change. I told the write up person about a roar that I was experincing @ 55 mph. The repair person told me that the baffles were all loose inside the muffler. I had the muffler replced at their reccomendation. Totalcost @ $200. Guess what, the roar is still there!. Later I was told by another muffler installer, that it's not unusual for the baffles being loose, and that was no reason to change the muffler. Fooled once, but never again. Good Bye Muffler Man? more

JUST AWFUL!!!!! I would never recommend this place to even my worst enemy. Took my truck in here to find out what the issue was and these guys told me it was the water pump...okay no problem. The guy seemed to be searching for ways to charge me more money. they charged me $12.00 for coolant I could have put in myself then they charged for some type of clutch fan that I don't believe I needed nor do I believe that they replaced it. $340.00. Never EVER USING THESE JOKERS AGAIN!!!! more

I have been going to this Muffler Man for years and haven't had an issue. Today I went in for a oil change and was told it would be a few hours, so I left my car there. 3 hours later I got a call it was done. When I got into my previously spotless car (I have a thing about keeping my car spotless) my floor mats were covered in mud! It was clearly noticeable why would someone not have put down a mat to prevent this or at least cleaned it up. Never returning! more

I have had oil changes, minor service done here for years. They are hard working guys that will point out a problem, and offer a solution. I have seen cars come in while I was waiting that need major work, and the people choose not to accept their recommendation. I am willing to bet these are the negative reviews. I have had over 11 vehicles serviced here over more years. They have always treated me fairly and repaired what needed to be fixed at a reasonable price. I would send my daughter to them for repairs. I have recommended them many times to friends and neighbors. more

I see a lot of negative reviews here. Not sure why. I and my friends have been using Muffler man in Davison for years and have never had a problem. They have always be up front with their recommendations and leave the choice up to you. I highly recommend them to anyone. more

I went into the muffler man for a routine oil change and found that their prices were much lower than the many other places I've gone. i dropped my car off at the shop and came back half an hour later. when i returned they told me that instead of paying fourteen dollars like i was originally told i would be forced to give hand jobs to the whole staff. needless to say i will not be going back. :( more

I took my car in to find out what the cause of a noise was. They informed me that I needed Hub Bearings and that the noise was from my AC Compressor. I approved the work for the Hub Bearings and inquired about the AC Compressor. I was told there MAY be a bypass available for my car. They wrote on my receipt ""Needs AC Compressor."" They FAILED to mention that the bypass was a $40.00 part that would prevent MAJOR problems. 3 and 1/2 weeks later the AC Compressor froze, car got hot and it ended up costing another $1,200 for repairs (that I am NOT having done at this rip off joint)!! When I went back into the shop to express my extreme dissatisfaction, the guy at the desk asked me, ""Did you ask us to look up the bypass part?"" Ummmm, NO, I didn't think the customer had to tell the morons how to do their jobs! They only get one star because it is required to post on here. I would give them Negative 5 if it was an option. more

Imagine I take my truck to Muffler man they do 1200.00 worth of work, then tell me I need the manifolds gaskets replaced for 125.00. I take my truck there today and now the price is 150.00. However when I reminded them of the quote they quickly rectified the matter. An hour later i get a phone call saying that there is a problem, a ROD HAS GONE THROUGH THE ENGINE!!!! THEY DON'T KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED THEY DIDN'T EVEN TURN ON THE KEY!!!! They demanded 200.00 before releasing the truck!!! I AM LOOKING FOR A GOOD LAWYER!!! more

if you get a quote from this location, make sure its written. the actual price i was charged was marginally higher than the quoted price. this is like bumping in used car sales, and watching the bill being written up it seemed clear to me that the numbers were made to represent the price i was charged.
