I been going to moly's for bout 2 n a half yearz now.My freinds n myself went last fri. one of my freinds uesd a visa card n put 0 dpwn for the tip because we paid her cash for the tip.We wnt back tis fri n they said tat we were band frm there because we didt leave atip last fri. Not only tat but sum wrote peace out on my freind copy of her ticket n they said tat she wrote it.. it's was only 4 of us n they chargedus gratuity .on the meun its say tats it has to be 6 or more people rite. i paid 20% gratuity on my check for 2 people. and two of my freinds paid 18%. now aint tat sumthing....not cool at all i'am also going to BBB on thn , i feel like its sumthing tat they have on there chest or sumthing....MOLLY'S IS ""NOT"" COOL.....I always tip whn i went... but tats the last of mollys Pros: WORST SERVICE IN TOWN more

Best Mexican Place in midtown 10/13/2008

I been going Molly's for 3 years and its a great place to go I truly love the food and the the beverages is so awesome and the staff at Molly's is friendly and very good hearted people and always had a smile on there face when I see them. The staff at Molly's is like family to me because there been days I went to Molly's feeling sad and depressed sometimes but the staff there made me feel so great and always giving me great advice.\r \r Demetrius Pros: Great Customer service Cons: No cons more

. \r First and foremost, the service and attitude is probably the worst that I've experienced and the management doesn't seem to care.\r Second the food is very inconsistent and takes an incredibly long time to arrive. Mexican dishes are some of the easiest dishes to prepare due to all the prep work, so I don't see why it should take over an hour to get the food!\r Last, the prices are relatively high compared to other Mexican restaurants in town.\r In conclusion, third world food is suppose to be inexpensive and quick. I don't think that I'll be back due to the fact of there are as many mexican restaurants in town as there are McDonalds. Pros: Fajitas Cons: Service, Price, Consistency more

Simply the Best! 1/9/2008

I've been going to Molly's sinceI was a student at Christian Brothers University almost 20 years ago. It is so good! I love several different dishes: Nacho Taco Salad, two of their enchilada platters, Tres Tacos and my husband has several more favorites than I do! I am not a fan of salsa except at Molly's where theirs tastes so unbelievably fresh. They have both yellow and white cheese dips - my favorite is the yellow but I do like the white as well though it packs more heat than the yellow. In my many years of going to Molly's I've had bad service three times. That's pretty good - three times in almost 20 years - in these days of poor service that's extraordinary!!!!! The best server they have is Jared - ask for him and you won't ge disappointed. Molly's is fantastic and I highly recommend it. Pros: wide variety of food offered, quick turnaround of food once ordered Cons: parking is a huge nightmare more

Molly's is IT in my book! 5/1/2007

Great food, service and atmosphere! Best happy hour in the city! I'm a true ""regular"" and there's no other Mexican restaurant I would rather go to. I recommend the ""House Special"" (best value for the money), the T-man dinner, fajita quesadillas, red snapper a la casita, white cheese dip, Kelly's bean dip.....heck everything on the menu is good, even the burgers! Did I mention the monstrous Texas chicken sandwich? They also have a nice selection of vegetarian dishes. Go try Molly's, you won't be disappointed! Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere & great Happy Hour Cons: Only one TV in the bar area more

Cinco de Mayo and Molly's LaCasita for me!! 5/1/2006

Molly's is your best bet for midtown Mexican! Truly authentic quisine includes a variety of enchilladas, burritos, quesadillas, fajitas seafood, salads, sandwhiches and a childrens menu!! The House Frozen Marguritas are the best I've ever had, and the home made salsa is better than anywhere else in town!!! I was seated promptly and it was nice to be waited on by a server who loved thier job!! Excellant food, service and average midtown pricing make this a new favorite for me!! Did I mention the Tamales?? Best I've ever had. I see now why Southern Living Magazine was also impressed with this place!! Pros: full bar, large groups welcome more

Not very good in my book ... 2/22/2006

I enjoy mexican food, so I thought I would give this place a try based on the other reiews. I went midweek, so it wasn't too busy. Even so, the service was pretty slow - it seemed to take a long time for any little request. The waitperson wasn't quite surly, but I wouldn't say they were overly friendly either. The food was so-so, and was a little greasier than I expected. Maybe Memphis doesn't know what good Mexican food is, but I haven't found a good Mexican restaurant here yet. I like most thing about Molly's... 2/3/2006

...except for the refried beans. I understand they are a draw for some people, but they just taste burnt to me (and everyone I know). I would have put highly recommended if it wasn't just for that fact. I'm a vegetarian, so I enjoy their dishes...but the stuff that comes in the schnucks brand vegetarian refried beans can tastes a hundred times better. But more on their side, I think they have the best salsa in Memphis. And I've never been let down by my main course. Best Tex-Mex in Memphis 6/12/2005

This is the best Tex Mex in the city. It has been one of my overall favorite restaurants in the Memphis area for many years. They have the best margaritas anywhere around. Pros: Best Mexican in Memph, Best Margaritas, Great food Cons: Linit Parking, too noisy sometimes more

Molly's is lacking as a Mexican restaurant 6/4/2005

Molly's is good for high-priced fajitas and margaritas. However, Molly's does not have the conventional food for which Mexican restaurants are known - especially enchiladas. Beyond the food, the service is severely inadequate. Please institute enchiladas onto the menu and upgrade the service. more

I've been a regular at Molly's for 15 years and have found no Mexican food better anywhere. The service is what you would expect for a midtown restaurant--attentive but not smothering. The margaritas are the best in the city!!! Pros: Excellent food, Good service, Awesome Margaritas more

Great Place 5/22/2004

We moved from Memphis 12 years ago. When we hear of someone traveling to Memphis, we always recommend Molly's. The 1st dinner I had was at the old place on Lamar, and we have followed Molly's ever since. No trip ""back home"" is complete without dinner at Molly's! We have never been disappointed. When my son was married, we had the rehearsal dinner at Molly's ! Best value I know of. Did I mention Margaritas ?? Pros: Great taste, service, Atmosphere more

Molly's is one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is worth the trip alone. Not to mention the margaritas!!!!! Molly's has long been a favorite of my husband's and mine. I have so many fond memories of getting 7-layer dip to go for dinner when we only had a few bucks to spare. We moved to Cincinnati 5 years ago and Molly's is the first place we go when we come home. You can't beat the fajitas or the sour cream chicken enchilladas. The refried beans are the best ever.
