From the moment we stepped into this energetic Cuban Cantina last Saturday night, we knew we made a great choice. The food was excellent....You must try the Vaca Frita and the Tostones Rellenos - definitely the best in town! And the varieties of Mojitos are unbeatable...the Mango Mojito is my favorite-superb...Overall, the service was good, friendly and courteous considering how busy the night was and the environment was warm and welcoming. Great family atmosphere! To make the night complete, we danced the night away to the live Cuban Band and DJ.\r You will not be disappointed......HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!! more

Horrible Management and staff.... 1/10/2011

The food is just OK and the place is nice. The manager lacked any professional skills whatsoever...Don't ever go at night during entertainment. You'd think we were going to see a Las Vegas show. When ordering, everyone was forced to order a plate, no sharing allowed, even if a sharing charge was paid. This was the first time the manager approached us. Over an hour passed and we did not receive our drinks nor our appetizer. As a previous reviewer mentioned, we had to chase the waiter down for this. The food was over an 1 1/2 late and it was cold. We were rushed through the entire process. We weren't even offered dessert. Immediately after paying our bill, we were asked to leave the table for the next party!....and yes the waiter and manager both made a personal appearance for this...At this time I complained to the manager, at no avail. Now thinking back, the waiter was not very happy because only 1 out of us 4 ordered alchohol...So unless you are planning to order plenty of food, plenty of drinks and spend plenty of money, DO NOT EXPECT any type of cordial treatment!\r more

Worst Service, horrible and rude manager 1/10/2011

I wish to have great reviews, but unfortunatly we were treated horribly, the manager was beyond rude, forced us to each order a plate and then rushed us to leave the table, a fight brojke out because of the rude manager, overall the service was horrible, the food took forever, and when we did receive the food it was cold! horrible expereicne! more

Terrible place! They wouldn't let us eat inside the restaurant unless we left our stroller outside. I refuse to ever go there again. You have been warned. more

We have visited Mojitos quite a few times to find that the service is always terribly slow. While they are always friendly, they seem to vanish frequently and it always feels like ages before something is brought to the table.\r \r The food is always good, with nice portions (I recommend the macitas) and the prices are average. \r \r The night-time atmosphere of Mojitos is more like a bar than a restaurant, but they sometimes have some good live bands. Get there early to be able to sit at a table, though. The place fills up very quickly in the evenings. more

Another one of my "go to" places. They never disappoint. Always great service, good quality Cuban food. Great appetizers like the marikas - long fried plantain chips or the yuka fries which are awesome, they come with like a cilantro mayo dipping sauce, which I'm dying to know how they make…I love the latin churrasco, it's a grilled skirt steak topped with a Cuban pico de gallo, onions, tomatoes, green peppers and other goodies. This is accompanied by a generous portion of rice & beans. My wife usually gets fish or the vaca frita which is pretty good. I'm usually so full, I've never gotten desert there. Great place to go before heading to the movies at Dolphin Mall. more

HORRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!! 11/12/2008

Our waiter was rude, barely checked on us, and we had to literally chase him down to order! After our meal, we ordered a round of espressos, dessert, Mojitos and closed out the tab so that we wouldn?t have to chase him down anymore and to then fully enjoy the dining experience?.Haha, we?re we in for a surprise! Even though we had just started our drinks, we were then approached by our waiter stating ?The Manager would like to know if we will be leaving soon.? In shock and thinking I had misunderstood, I asked him to repeat. Nope, I heard correctly- ?The Manager would like to know if we will be leaving soon, so that he can give your table to someone else.? So, I asked to speak with him, thinking maybe there was still a misunderstanding, and why the Manager, of all people would request this, while we are still consuming our drinks. Of course, when the Manager arrived to our table, he knew nothing of this matter and it was obvious it was the waiter, just trying to get us out and move someone else into our spot for his own profit. The manager didn?t even apologize, but tried clearing it up by saying there will be a 2 drink minimum soon, to stay for the music. Now, if we had finished our drinks, I would have no problem ordered a few more rounds, in fact that?s what we were debating. However, I must admit, what a rude and embarrassing situation that was! In fact, that was the most we had seen of our waiter the whole night, when he was asking us to leave!!! Needless to say, we left and will NEVER return, at least under THAT management. Want demeaning treatment? Go to Mojitos!\r \r Want EXCELLENT Cuban food, OUSTANDING Mojitos and a BEAUTIFUL AMBIANCE? Take my advice- LARIOS on the Beach, they have yet to disappoint me Pros: convenient location Cons: poor service, rude staff, bad atmosphere overall more

Poor Service and Horrible Management 5/31/2008

If I could mark this restaurant with less than a 1 I would. Terrible service and terrible management. The drinks are great but the service was terrible. I recommended this place as a happy hour and received had such a terrible experience. The waiter even tried adding more drinks on our bill that we didn't order. The manager was inexperienced and extremely unprofessional. There are much better places than this restaurant. Please do not go - you will have a terrible experience. Pros: Drinks are good Cons: Service and manager were terrible and inexperienced more

WORST SERVICE IN MIAMI!!!! 11/11/2007

This past weekend, my experience was HORRIBLE. A waiter dropped a tray full of glass on my friend and didnt even ask if she was ok. The manager was there too and he didnt say anything after he saw that she DID get cut and WAS bleeding. After I ate my seafood dinner, my face broke out. I have never been allergic to any kind of seafood. When I went to talk to the manager he was rude and cocky. He said that he needed ""7 complains in order to determine that he is selling bad seafood"". I do NOT recommend this restaurant at all! This is the worst service that I have ever seen in a restaurant. more

best cuban food in miami 5/8/2007

My husband and I rate this to be the best cuban restaurant in all miami. The waiters are excellent very pleasant every time we go, and the food has a fresh wonderful taste and they bring it out fast, theres no need for appitizers,lol.. not to mention they serve alot of food and bring bread as a starter. There salads are also very fresh, nice green lettuce not like at most cuban restaurants where you dont really want to eat it cuz it looks yellow and old. So far everything we've tried is delicious. The fufu de platano is a # 1 and not to mention the drinks, this place got it's name from the drink alright, they are delicious! they even make original mojitos in diet for people like me, lol... they made it with sprite zero and splenda and it was wonderful! We will definitly be returning here whenever we want cuban food or drinks! Pros: they have outdoor and indoor seating Cons: for those who go to party on the weekend, dance floor is small more

Best cuban atmosphere 5/4/2007

This is the firts time I rate but I have to say about Mojito's that the place is beautiful. Very cozy, very nice atmosphere. If you want to eat, laugh, dance and have the best time, go to Mojito's. The food is very good, just like grandma's, even the greasy part (cuban food is always greasy, for those who don't know). Pros: Ambience Cons: Small dance floor. more

Greasy 1/23/2007

The fish was beyond greasy. The service was terrible and the forks needed an extra scrubbing. The only thing great was the music; but beware, the dance floor is super small. Watch your toes. Pros: music Cons: dinner more

Best Cuban Food in town 1/2/2007

Mojitos has the best cuban food, partenered with an awesome ambiance. There is no other place in town where you can eat, drink and dance all under the same roof! The service is excellent, the music will get you up of your feet. The DJ and the band just refuse to let you take a seat! And you have to try the mojitos, specially the cienfuego!! Pros: Close to home and ample parking more
